I'm one of the biggest attuma fans there are. While he does take some time to ramp up, once he is ramped he's unstoppable, literally. If your focus is bgs I wouldn't rank him but if you just wanna have some fun he's your guy
Seen him do multiple sp1 back to back when baiting him and suddenly he goes unstoppable 😦
When attuma throws an sp1 he gains hydration charges and when he hits 20 he goes unstoppable. The only ways to remove the unstoppable is either parry him or wait out the timers
He’ll still rip a chunk out of a good amount of champs so idk why people say he doesn’t have much defensive value
The reason is because most have him at r2. He needs r3 more than any defender in the game rn because of how small his healthpool is.
He takes off health (more at higher sig), but his healthpool is mediocre so it allows nukes to get him down quick. But at rank 3 the health loss is more since it would require more hits
Thanks for input…my Cat is R3 and L60, and I’m inclined to push resources toward Chee and Shang for attack and Korg (L60) and KM (L100) for defense in the Skill class. May take a harder look when it’s time to compare him and Mantis.
I got him as my 3rd R3, he's a lot of fun. If you learn how to play him correctly you're going to get an amazing dual champ. I used him a lot in the act 8 and act 9 beta
I took him to r3 for Valiant; and am happy enough - I had quite few options at the time, and he's almost permanently banned in BGs.
He's generally an okay champ; the main unique thing he has is his AAR reversal; which makes him effectively immune to/empowered by the many nodes in the game that inflict Disorient and Concussion. So he's good for War and Quest paths that mess with your Ability Accuracy; as well as opponents like Crossbones, Black Widow and Black Cat, plus more recent champs who reduce offensive ability accuracy, like Ironheart and Maestro (with Glancing).
He's useful to have in your roster occasionally; particularly in Questing and occasional fights from stuff like Summer of Pain/Winter of Woe, etc. But not necessarily someone to focus resources into, if you have better options.

I actually used Attuma in the most recent SOS gauntlet funnily enough.
