Do we always get significant season start rewards for battlegrounds?

1600 Elders marks to start the season is good but I already have 8600! When I complete five matches and get awarded 1600 elders marks I will lose the majority because of the cap! Is it always like this?

    If u don't claim after 5 match it stays in the reward section 🤷

    Last season was a mess so I didn't bother to check but if it goes into overflow from now on, I will change my strategy to save more if needed. Thanks for the info.

    Just for the record, the "start of season" rewards were implemented when seeding was introduced a while back. If you are seeded any higher than the lowest VT tier, the game creates a basket of rewards that include all of the VT rewards in the lower tiers below your seed, and gives them to you after you complete five matches. It does this so no one missed out on VT rewards just because they were seeded higher than those rewards are earned. So this basket of rewards is different for different players who are seeded in different start tiers.

    Up until last season (I think) the rewards were instantly awarded after you completed five matches, which meant the rewards could overflow, particularly marks. So this was changed last season so that instead of being directly awarded, that basket of rewards now goes into the reward stash if it is not immediately claimed, so players have more flexibility and are less likely to overflow elder marks or trophy tokens.

    I recall this was a topic of discussion when I was going through the Season 18 changes with Kabam Crashed, and the topic of overflow did come up. I made a suggestion Kabam did not implement, but I believe they went in this direction instead to address the problem

    Where do we look if we completed the 5 matches but did not get awarded the rewards? It’s not in my rewards stash that I can see.

    Where did you start this season and are you sure you didn't forfeit any matches that you lost in those 5?

    Diamond V and I’m sure I didn’t forfeit. Certainly didn’t win them all but no forfeit

    I really appreciate the Elder Marks generosity but the cap of 9k is way too low. Such an odd number as well, why not make it 12-15k?
