How Would You Nerf Serpent?

It takes a lot for nearly the entire community to be WANTING a nerf of a champ. Folks were waiting for both Bullseye and Onslaught to get some minor nerf to defensive abilities when released. (I still think Bullseye needed some more nerfs.) But were sadly disappointed.

The post is correct, in a perfect world of RPG counters. Serpent does have "some" mild counters. The problem with champs like him and Enchantress, is when we start combining them with BG metas and AW nodes. Combined with a kit that really does nearly counter everything most champs could use to stop him. As well as, a nearly guaranteed SP3 or 2 with regen and insane power gain. This champ needs some kind of nerf. That said I propose a couple possible changes:

Remove the Neutralize from stopping his final immortality phase.

In leu of that, reduce/remove the insane power gain he gets at the end. We shouldn't need to use someone like Sym Supreme and cheese his SP3 or Chavez power reversal (that only partially works. And not on Hazard Shift, or stun immune, or increased power gain nodes...)

How would you nerf Serpent?

Remember when they nerfed Absorbing Man because people were dying to him repeatedly on defense because he started the fight with regen?

Imagine if we told them a Cosmic that was Neutralize, stagger, fate seal, and nullify immune was coming that would also regen, be death immune, and shoot to an immediate SP3?

Remove the extra power gain from death immunity and make the regen only apply to attack. Also make it just the standard 100% and not 125% ability accuracy so neutralize champs can consistently stop the immortality from proc’ing

1: On defense, start with 2 dread charges instead of 3.

2: Death immunity ability accuracy lowered from 125% down to 100%.

3: Death immunity cannot have its duration extended.

4: All non-contact unblockable hits can be evaded with the dexterity mastery.

Remove death immunity, lower power gain

It’s a bit late now, but I would lower the dread charges on D from 3 to 2

There’s a lot of routes you could go with it, but one that recently came to mind is making the regen and power gain from death immunity separate nullifiable buffs. You still can’t usually cheese through his defensive stalling threat, but if you’re bringing a good mystic like you should you can at least remove those buffs and not suffer the imminent threat of a sp3 to the face and enough regen to set you back an extra 10-20 seconds in time.

    Make his armor #metal lol

    *enter Magneto*

Seriously though, I'd start with somehow reducing his power gain. It's too much.
