I feel like she should have been close to if not in the base pool of 7*s. Champs like Kamala, Jubilee, The champion, etc. Etc. Should have had their time to shine as 7*s

It was a joke comic book done to sell Twinkies. Pure product placement.
Golden Oldie's design is essentially what if Aunt May was gold. It's a pretty funny look. The book gets even stranger when Franklin offers Galactus Twinkies to feed his hunger. In what is almost definitely product placement, Galactus says the Twinkies feed his hunger and he demands more. Golden Oldie circles Earth to find as many Twinkies as possible. Galactus eats all the twinkies on Earth before encountering The Creator, who is essentially the Pillsbury Doughboy. The Creator has a planet-sized Twinkie that Galactus feats upon. May returns to Earth, but Galactus follows and asks the heroes for a glass of milk. Pan to Peter (and Marvel editors) waking up. The entire issue was just a dream.
It's hard to fully explain the sheer ridiculousness of this issue. It is a hoot. Galactus accidentally making Aunt May his herald, while eating all the Twinkies on Earth ranks among the most ridiculous thing Marvel has ever done. Concluding the issue by making it all just a dream might sound like a cop-out, but there's literally no other way to make sense of the book. It's an acid trip turned dream. Spider-Man's Aunt May was once the Herald of Galactus. Her time as the herald was weird, brief, and kind of incredible.
