Invulnerability boost not working

Fighting Mangog on AW on node 46 Tier 2. I had an invulnerability on, took no hits during the fight & he through an SP2 (Even though I was holding block to take him to an SP3). Why did all parts of the SP2 do damage?

    The invincible boost stopped 3 hits of the sp2 from dealing damage but it doesn't stop that passive burst in any way. Mangog, chavez sp2 and all that nonsense will wreck you as that isn't a hit.

    List is pretty large apoc if you have debuffs, dragonman if you're against the wall, most of the others that do this, like herc, rhulk or stryfe, you won't see on defence. So wouldn't matter.

    WTF is it I can dex a SP attack in game modes that don’t matter yet when it comes to War, BG I get hit every single **** time.

    It's called performance pressure and happens even to the best of players, even in high stakes matches like Celestial-tier BGs, where 1 second, 1 HP could mean a win or loss. So chill, relax, sit back, drink some Cola and clear your mind. You're doing okay.

    Maybe I’m hangry but it’s not performance pressure. I’ve just dex 3/4 of the same SP attack. The amount of BS that has developed from Kabam over the last couple of years is awful. Anyway. I’m all good. Have a good weekend

    @Friendly001 the funny thing is it was a nothing fight as we had won the war. What annoys me is that certain dex timing is different in different game modes like AW.

    To my knowledge, Invulnerable boost has never protected against "extra damage effects*, only the raw hit itself.
    Like, say if Red Hulk hits you with a medium at 10 charges. You ignore the basic attack, but not his added damage.

    Nothing wrong here.

    It endures the first 3 hits from the attack. Red damage comes from the hits. Not very transparent is it?

    Mango sp2 has more than 3 hits, invul doesn't do much against it best you can do is push to sp3 and hope he doesn't throw sp2
