Event quest Attuma boss

Attuma boss in TB Eq chapter1 quest2 has a node that reduces attacker damage unless inflicted with incinerate..But it's not working. Only incinerate of sunspot is working.. incinerate of kitty pride or human torch or Bishop is not working. Why? I had to restart the same quest multiple times to get through it.

    Yes I know there is Ebb flow knockdown. Do you assume without knowing that I post here.
    How shuri works she doesn't apply incinerate usually.

    For some reasons dot effects deal regular damage, even when incenerates are not applied

    i am knock down him with my kushala but anyhow he is become immune
