Veteran player needs advice.

Hi, I'm a veteran player from the Infinity War event, I came back after quite some time deciding to take on the game once more.
Now I did some pulls and got several new characters and discovered some other got reworked and I have no idea what to focus on.
I ask for advice on who to focus right now while considering I have limited resources I'm trying to farm and grind.

Mr sinister would be my first rankup. He got an awesome buff and is one of the best mutants now. Really good for questing and if you have willpower he’ll be healing from it almost 100% if the time

Wow. You could use some better luck on your 6* pulls. Hopefully it changes in a big way for you with your next several chances. Your mutant 6* champs are worth ranking. Otherwise, I’d do Kate and Scorp and likely Ironman and SIM.

Yeah I know.. I'm not the luckiest when it comes to pulls.

I opened a bunch of crystals, in like 20 crystals these are the only things I got above 4 stars

They are both quite good for your progression level, see if you like them or not

I don’t think Ikaris is but Zemo is kinda

Damn that’s an amazing nexus. Nick is still very meta and even though he needs the awakening you have a gem so no issue there.

Kitty on the other hand is a pretty broken champ who ignores all damage while phases if awakened and 85% of it unawakened. You also have her two best synergies in Tigra & ghost making her even more ridiculous.

Very tough choice and I’m not really sure who to advise taking. I would watch some videos on kitty to see if you like her playstyle, then go from there.

All I know is please don’t take Hawkeye lol.

Good insight, I'll check if she fits my playstyle, otherwise I'll go for nick

I checked her video and I gotta agree, the synergy she gets with both ghost and tigra sounds extremely strong and it's worth noting, I won't be able to make use of her SA tho

As of now I'm 75% towards kitty and 25% towards Fury. For two reasons:
Synergy with ghost and tigra and dmg potential for tough content like the labyrinth of legends which I couldn't take on yet without a 5 star or above Ægon. As of now I'm going to sleep (It's 3am here in Italy) but by tomorrow morning I'll read any other take or suggestions in regards to this and then post my pick. Thanks a lot so far for your suggestions.

Nick fury and kitty pride are both great champions, so since you watched a kitty video and think she looks fun and good, I’d take her. I’d focus on upgrading ghost, bishop, tigra, and mr sinister. They’re all good and will help a lot in act 6. I’d also look at some bosses in act 6.2 and rank up counters for them cause some have very specific requirements. Other than that I’d use your t1 dust on absorbing man and archangel and then if you have more Kate bishop. Upgrade the 6*s I mentioned earlier first and then I’d upgrade Kate, archangel, and scorpion out of your 5*s. It’s okay if you can’t get around to them cause you’ll move to mostly 6*s fairly quickly as you get past act 6.

Don’t take labyrinth into account when making the decision. The rewards are so far outdated for the level of difficulty it’s a complete waste of time.

I think from a purely questing perspective kitty is the better champ, but Nick has more use overall thanks to being a good defender in things like battlegrounds and alliance war. However those game modes are best enjoyed with a more developed roster after you’ve progressed through the bulk of story, which is where kitty will shine. I think overall I give kitty the vote.

You have 6.3.1 Medusa boss with do you bleed (where only bleedsdo damage). Nick is one of the best for that fight. I would go him over her.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions, in the end I decided to go for kitty because she elevates ghost and tigra as well which I mean to rank up as well. Regarding medusa, by the time I finish exploring the 5th act I'm sure I'll find someone else that can do bleeding but thanks for the tip about the boss.
I plan on using her for clearing hard content
