  ai not punishing cassie has been a thing since her release, you just need to use her heavy in specific moments, like just after her sp1 or finishing a combo short and then holding heavy immediately, or when theyre against the wall. you cant just start holding it at the start of the fight and pray they dash in

  And i speak of Cassie but the ai is from a top tiers ++ level, intercepting you at the last moment with sp, chaining heavy and sp with no pause. Etc…

  Before you could bait the ai to attack, go in heavy after 2-3 hits missed and boom 8 to 10 stings
  Now if you heavy while the ai attacks, it go straight back in its corner and attack again while your heavy end hitting you right in the middle of heavy. You would do the same you would fzil half the time, not the ai

  I've play a lot of Cassie. A hell of a lot. Over the last year, she's probably my most played champion through BG's and war (maxed 6 star, ascended, Sig 200). I've never relied on the AI to swing at me in the middle of the map. Sometimes you can hold your heavy until 300 of your particles are gone and your opponent will hold Block the entire time, at which point you've just got to hope they don't resist the block break. Few tips;
  
  1) Get your opponent into the corner. When they can't dash backwards, they can't escape your heavy range. When I really want to stack power stings, I'll play Cassie like she's Valkyrie and only hit the opponent 4 times into the block, back off, and repeat until they're in the corner. At this point I just cycle heavy/SP1, making sure I hit the 4th light attack for the poison.
  
  2) When you're hitting someone, do the 4 hit combos, pause for half a second (rather than dashing backwards or finishing the 5 hits) then start charging heavy. The defender thinks they have half a chance to hit you so they start their combo, at which point you start stacking the misses.
  
  3) Heavy punish as many special attacks/heaviest as you can, even if it just applies a couple of stings. If you get your spacing correct, once your opponent commits to a heavy or special, they can't do anything to avoid being slapped by a heavy.
  
  4) Don't worry about getting the full amount of stings down. When you start punishing specials and heaviest, it's often really helpful to stay above 150/200 charges so you have a longer period where you can avoid hits from specials etc if needed. Also I've made it through many a BG fight just working with applying and reapplying 10-15 stings.
  
  Do what you can to maximise your power stings reliably without having to worry about whether the opponent swings into you or not. Don't rush things and she'll be one of the most reliable champs on your roster 👍
