Will I get banned if I farm points like that in BG

Renta_Renta_ Member Posts: 13
I have 9k elders mark + like 2k I have yet to claim from the milestones

I just don't have time to play this much BG reaching 5k points while playing normally is just not possible with my work schedule I barely have time to play one or 2 BG a day so I realized I could just start a match and immediately forfeit to gain 28 points each time I do that it could give me like 3.5k point at the cost of all my elders mark but seeing the rewards it's definitely worth it

But my question is, is it safe to do that or would I risk a ban for like point farming ? Because if I can't do that then I just know I won't have enough time to reach 5k normally

Forfeiting will not give you points, although it will help realm event ( as other person is winning). If you are not using the phone for work, you can start a match and do your work like potion auto farming.

You wouldnt get points for forfeiting anyway

winning with marks, then losing with energy, and repeating, allegedly will get you banned if you do it in vt. However, if you do it in the bottom of gc, thats fair game.

what youre saying, of just losing constantly, should be fine? just let the round play itself out, so you actually get points

Good to know I didn't know that thx then I could just let the fight go and lose each round ? Would it work ? Not as fast as just forfeiting the match but I could still farm point like that for the last 2 weeks without having to actually play

Your best bet if u like to to get free points is pausing the match until the timer over this way u get pts easily whether losing or winning

Actually no, this is highly unethical and could potentially get you ban.

It is possible for a player to try very hard get smack by bad AI and get less than 15k points. So you essentially won by "exploit"

Kabam have stated they doesn't not agreed with pause matching, so if you does it constantly they could ban you want they feel that it is the right thing to do.

If you just want to spend Elder Mark quickly, just load up your dex with 2*, your fights will be extra quick for both you and your opponents.

Since you are not trying to lose with energy and win with Elder Mark, but only losing consistently with Elder Mark, i.e you are not farming, Kabam would have no reason to ban you.

Whatever you do just don't Pause, it is highly unethical and just a low move really.

Ok so when I don't have time to play BG normally I can just use a deck full of 2*, I stay at the bottom of uru 3 and let people win 2 rounds in a row without pausing so at least I get the 28 points each time and I allow other people to climb the ladder and with all the elder marks I have I did the math I have enough to reach 5k by just losing every match thx y'all for the help 🙏

Just accept match and then ignore, you won't get banned.

Dont use Elder Marks if you want to lose on purpose.
    Use energy instead.

He doesn't have time to play and have elder marks expiring...

Pausing won't get anyone banned. It's just a jerk move.

    Hi @Furrymoosen ,

While Kabam never clearly stated it either way, it would completely be within their T&C right to ban someone knowing exploit the game as it was not intented.

I would imagine Winning by Pause would fall into that category, you are winning without playing.

There are some genuine reasons why someone might "have " to pause, but if someone does it enough times (and get report, and I'm sure people will report if they lose to a Pauser 🤣), I would imagine Kabam can easily review and ban the that player from BG.

You are right it is a Jerk move for sure, but I also don't think it is a good advice to be giving out to unknown fellow player. There definitely a risk there that not worth taking, especially for a player who just genuinely want to lose to 5000p.

You act like I am stating my opinion when it is Kabam that has said players won't get banned for pausing.

My advice will always be that players should not pause. If you're going to play the game, play. But that doesn't mean we should spread misinformation because we don't want players to (not) play a certain way.

    @Furrymoosen ,

I remember there was a post way back stating what Kabam would consider ban able and what they would review. It think was was back when we were going to have the Live Tournament, so maybe a year ago.

I don't remember reading Kabam clearlt stated that they will not ban players for Pause, if you happen to find it please let me know.

I fully agreed with you that we don't want to spread misinformation, as you can see from my post, I stated that Kabam didn't stated clearly either way, but I do believe they are within their right to ban a player to do so, which I don't think is incorrect information, but happy to be corrected.

@Fryday take a look at this thread and the absurdity https://forums.playcontestofchampions.com/en/discussion/378888/cheating#latest

And Im searching a comment from Kabam Jax, that, yes, deliberate pause may cause a ban.

Someone did the math to get 5K points losing all matches with EMs, need around like 15K, you can queue and put your phone down, gonna take quite a while though...

You do what you got to do.
Points are more important than winning. There's some logic to that as not eveyeone can win. That's just the reality of it.

You win more matches or play less vs you play more matches or win less

Just don't forfeit as people said and you will be fine.
