Why do I have to click on an event to get rid of the notification?

I already still don't like the design change to events. That aside, now I have to take more time to click on events to get rid of the notifications.

The og way was you just had to go to that section and it flashed new and notification was gone.

It's just plain annoying now to clean up notifications. Even more so figuring out if a notification is for a current event or past.

Seems like these things aren't well thought out.

On the other hand, people would complain they didn't know an event was going on or missed out on something if they didn't force you to check. At least it's not hard to do or anything.

when are we getting super event back? Because that'll cut 99% of this out, won't it?

It used to be that if you clicked on the milestones tab at all and simply scrolled around the notification would go away. Now you have to go in the milestones, actually click on the new milestone just so the notification goes away. It’s annoying
In all fairness to kabam, it SHOULD eliminate any more I didn't know about this event or how to get points complaints lol. But realistically, people gonna click to get rid of the red notification bubble and still not read or try to understand what they're supposed to do.

That’s a decent point but if that’s their logic for why they did this, they should find a way to only do it for one time/new events like realm events, side quest/bounty events. We don’t need that for level up, summoner advancement and mutant combat

Very annoying. It should have been an easy thing to notice when they tested... oh wait.

I think they changed the UI for the later coming PC port. The old design is probably too old fashioned for pcs so yeah. For smartphones it’s just annoying

That’s because it’s a busy mess. Something like this needs to have a simple and clean layout so you can quickly see what you need to. Not struggle through multiple clunky tabs just to get rid of the red #. It’s embarrassing that a fairly large company actually approved it, especially in this business, but it has all the markings of someone in upper management making demands despite having no visual taste.

If whoever designed this handed it in as an assignment in a college course, they’d have failed.

You're missing the point. With this redo you have to go an extra step to clear the notification. The old way you go to the solo or alliance tab and click on it to see the events. "new" would appear on the new events and you can clearly see they're new. Then the notification would be gone.

Now they force you to click on each individual event on the page to clear the notification. It's a dumb over thought change while being AAF.

All the scrolling, the extra steps to clear notifications. Never understood how vertical scrolling in a landscape format made any sense. It's like they never learned basic graphic design skills or whatever the web equivalent of that is. Maybe they don't teach it in coding school.
