Feedback on RNG for Loyalty Seven-Star Crystals

saorpssaorps Member Posts: 84
@Kabam Zibiit @Kabam Vydious After pulling Storm 3x from the Loyalty Seven-Star Crystal, I’d like to address the RNG mechanics for these specific crystals. Compared to other seven-star crystals, these are less frequent due to different currency requirements (Loyalty and Artifacts) and the limitation of obtaining one crystal every 42 days. Given this reduced availability, the RNG for these crystals should be adjusted to offer players more favorable outcomes.

Many champions in these pools, like Void, Black Cat, Angela, and Captain America (Infinity War), must be awakened to truly excel. Therefore, a more "player-friendly" RNG wouldn't disrupt game balance but instead offer players better choices and satisfaction.

Before defenders of Kabam’s RNG mechanics weigh in, it's important to note that RNG is part of the game software and can be adjusted to improve the player experience without breaking the game.

The two people you tagged don't work here anymore.

How would you suggest they "improve RNG" on a crystal that has an equal chance to pull any of the listed champions?

And RNG cannot be adjusted, only odds. And even if Storm was at 1% in the crystal and everyone else was higher, you could still pull her 3 times, because RNG is random, and you can't make random consistent.

So what ?? It's all RNG I got killmonger first 7* now after over 100 7* he is still unduped that's RNG 🤷

If kabam start giving player what they want - how to they make money ?? Like July 4 last offer was 7* selector(many select 7* Onslaught - after 36k units)

    Imagine u want Angela & got her 5 times - u wouldn't complain 🤷 that's also RNG

I'd like to see your reaction to pulling void 3 times..

    I'd buy a Nexus Loyalty/Incursions for a premium... Say 50% more shards.

Most RNGs are software-based PRNGs, which use algorithms to mimic randomness. However, the numbers generated by PRNGs are not truly random because they are based on deterministic algorithms. Kabam can adjust the algorithms.

The 36K units come from time spent in the game or money. My beta ray bill came from money spent in the game. Kabam can add more choices to the game and still make much money.

So, you said most of the champs in those pools need to be Awakened in order to be good.

So I’d assume you would be HAPPY to have gotten one TWICE, that would Awaken them.

You just didn’t want to have gotten them a 3rd time.

(and, at least you maybe knew that Miike and Jax weren’t here anymore, lol)

And the result is…all three Ronins!

On a large scale, that is reasonably true. If you open 1,000 of these crystals, you're probably close to an even split across all the available champions. But on a smaller scale, like that of an individual player, it is as close to random as it can be. At the time you open that crystal, often in tandem with many other players, the game is going to issue a champion to each player according to the odds in the moment that their account communicates with the game client.
From the player standpoint it is always random because you don't know who was opened last and you don't know if or how many other players are opening the same crystal at the same time.

So I will ask again, because you didn't answer, how do you suggest they improve RNG? Like I said, the RNG for the player can remain exactly the same, even if the odds change.

And before we go down that rabbit hole, having the system programmed to review what a player has already pulled to tilt things closer to a more favorable pull is a non-starter, because it would nearly eliminate RNG altogether.

All I see in this thread is an OP who doesn't understand what anyone is saying and baseless Ronin slander.

I don't know which is worse
