If I have a Titan Crystal now but don't open it until December, does the pool stay the same?

Hey y'all,
I just got a titan crystal from the Battlegrounds Realm event, and I'm debating whether or not to save it. But, I was wondering that since it's already a crystal (and not shards), is the pool for the crystal I have already set? If not, I'd rather wait until December and take my chances with the new titan pool, but if this crystal's pool is set to the current champs in it (regardless of the date), I'll open it now.
Not sure how the system works when you have a crystal but the champ pool changes. Any help would be appreciated!
