New Titan Changes

Do you guys think it's a good change overall? It sounded good to me until I realised that it meant champs that are currently 6 star locked will have a harder time entering the Contest as 7 stars. Especially one in particular...

Some getting rarity locked anyway those that are classed as game breaking

I mean how is this a benefit to summoners or an improvement? Reading it made no sense .. what is an Eidol Champion? just put it plain for people like me. is the Titan going to have mostly new champs now albeit at a slower clip? And less old champions or champions that suck?

It be more new champs than old so instead of 2 old it might be 1 old i think eidol is how they described like rintrah being in the december pool could be wrong just how i interpreted it

Not sure this fits what the community was hoping for asking for less old champs. Now we have to wait 33% longer for the crystal champs to update, for a chance at what, 2 more new champs? 3? This doesn’t seem like a win. Would’ve been cool to stay the same and maybe let us vote on the old champs that get added each crystal.

Love that Rintrah is coming. Would love for others like him (6*s whose relevance has drastically decreased now that 7r3 is common) to have come in with him. Champs like iBom, Apoc, Nimrod, etc. Dropping in a group of them on that level would be far more impactful (and fun to chase).

Did I understand correctly that Rintrah will be in the December pool instead of Isophyne? I mean, isn't the Isophyne release date after the titan update?

If the existing champions being added to the Titan are better ones, this could be a win-win. However, if they continue including mediocre champions in the pool, this change becomes worse. If they were clearer in their messaging, it would feel ‘more eidol.’

Looking forward to a content creator that can decipher what this means, because it is really complicated. Would have been best to include in a Twitch stream instead.

On an unrelated note, I’m very glad I didn’t finally pull the trigger to R5 and ascend my Rintrah

So this means that with the new pool in December, there will still be 12 New and 6 Old champions? And then in March there will be 14 New and 4 Old?

We would normally see 12 old champs every year, and 23 new champs every year, we of course will still receive 23 new champs however Kabam have said 3 of those won’t be in the titan, so that leaves us with 20 left. Meaning that we get 5 new champs in the titan and 1 old champ, this means we are reducing the amount of old champs by half, which is sad to see.

It’s incredibly confusing, I’m surprised I’ve sorta worked it out, at the end of the day they are running out of champions to throw in that titan, whilst still make it valuable.

Oh yes, and the December Titan pool, will have one less new champion (Dazzler) and one more older (Rintrah). This sucks.

I think I know what it means.

3 months instead of 2 months rollover.
Isophyne will not be in the Titan, nor will anyone with the fractured power bar.
Isophyne would’ve been added in March, however Dazzler replaces her, leaving an extra spot in the Titan.
To compensate, we are getting Rintrah in the 7* Titan pool.
We will still be getting an old science champion as a 7*.
Don’t hold me to it, but I assume this means we are also getting an old mutant as a 7* as well, if not it is 100% an old skill champion, it could be 7 champions in this pool as we are missing out on Isophyne.

Scream, Jack O Lantern, Spiral, Rintrah, Old Science, Old Mutant or Old Skill.

    Predictions: Ibom, Apoc/Stealthy.

Just a reminder that last Titan cycle didn't have a mutant and why Rintrah is being added when there is already a mystic (spiral) in the cycle. Whoever is in charge of these crystals just don't like mutants it seems.

I might be wrong, but from what I understand for the Titans after:

March = Dazzler, first champion of january, second champion of january, first champion of february, second champion of february and one older champion.

June = First champion of march, second champion of march, first champion of april, second champion of april, first champion of mat and second champion of may.

But that means no old chanpions after that ? Pretty sure i'm wrong but where ?

Probably one of the six champions released by June will be an Eidol champion, which means they won’t be added to the Titan Crystal and will be replaced by an older champion.

Good for (many) summoners: fewer old dud champs in the Titan

Bad for (most, maybe all) summoners: even slower turnover in Titan pool, so you are going to get those weird timing issues where a champ is introduced via EQ and early access bubdles but then they effectively disappear because of the crystal update schedule

Having a 50% increase to how long it will take to have Titan crystal champions enter the basic pool is completely insane! ...Especially with how weak some of the new champions have been.
  • JungleBunkJungleBunk Member Posts: 4
I’m confused how updating the Titan crystal every 3 months instead of every 2 months and just including every new champion is going to somehow solve this supposed problem. I’m really not a big fan of Dazzler not entering the Titan pool this December. Kabam delayed her release just so we wouldn’t have access to her until her battle pass - if that was the issue, why not have her battle pass run earlier? The old Titan update schedule was much better. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

It looks like this is all to better sell Dazzler.

Plus new dud champions hang in the Titan for longer
