No Aegon 2099 is so sad
Why would there be an Ægon 2099 when he's so old, that Ægon 1099, 1199, 1299, 1399... 2000+ is all likely the same? Why would 2099 be different? Also, it's not like he's affected by future earth tech unlike guillotine who lives on earth.
Brother, what are you talking about? That’s like asking why there’s 3+ versions of Spiderman. In the battlerealm, there’s a multiverse of the same characters. Similar to how Punisher is different than Punisher 2099; and Spiderman from Spiderman 2099.
but mate. the difference for them, is that punisher and spider man can AGE. and live ON EARTH. so the future earth tech can be used by them.
Aegon is a gazillion yrs old, and doesn't need tech. hence aegon 2099, would be the same as our current aegon

Exactly! No matter the year, it'll always be the same Ægon. There wouldn't be a cowboy Ægon in 1865, caveman Ægon 2 million years ago, etc. It's just one Ægon with the same appearance everytime. And again, he doesn't live on earth for the people who needs it

So a few Eidols like the few Deathless huh? I wonder if all of them will lead into a grand character like how all the Deathless leads to D Thanos... maybe a fusion between them all? Since they're all sentient and made of ISO-8

So what I've picked up is that "Eidol" champions are kabam original marvel characters?

Even more original champions in a MARVEL game. Sweet.

You do know they have to get approval from Marvel themselves when creating a new character yes? And those new characters are also allowed to be used in comics afterwards.

Sound good, normal champs, Deathless champs, Eido champs

Looks like some of our messaging got ahead of where it should have been.

Isophyne is an Eidol, one of the new original champions that will be part of a larger story next year. There are a number of other Eidols coming as player-ownable champions next year.

Gameplay-wise they are differentiated by their fractured power bars. And as the Titan Crystal post mentions, there will be a different way to collect them outside of the traditional crystal release.

Why create original champions that don't exist in marvel universe when there are like a thousand more characters to introduce from it? And also maybe it's time to buff old champions that really deserve it instead of release 2 champions per month. Personally I don't like the idea of creating champions that are not part of marvel universe but that's just my opinion.

Why the name *eidol* though? What does it actually mean?

It basically is a marvel character not in lore of comics but for the game and they collab with marvel for each original and they have always done

Frankly your opinion stinks. In all aspects. What's wrong with using creativity to make new characters? As an example, Guillotine has had a run of comics so far. These created originals can 100% be used in comics movies shows etc. Marvel themselves create new characters all the time. What's the difference and why does it matter. And to your 1 champ per month, that'll never happen. Different teams work on creating a champ vs buffing one. And if you did whittle it down to 1 champ a month, this game would actually die. The revenue would be over.

Ok. That's fine. The fact remains, she has appeared in comics. So they aren't solely just for kabams use in game.

WRONG. She also appeared in US Avengers during the Secret Empire tie-in storyline as one of the Champions of Europe team with Captain Britain (Brian), Outlaw (Higgins), Excalibur, Ares and Le Peregrine.
