What kind of buff would Stryfe need to be prominent in Everest content?

Stryfe theoretically seems to have a lot of his kit to make him good for Everest content, but he never seems to be the champion of choice.

While Stryfe exists as a 7-star, for pretty much all the prior Everest type content he has been ignored in favor of 6-star Aegon, 6-star Hercules, 6-star Kate Bishop (And this is even with all the anti-Aegon, anti-Herc nodes that are in place that supposedly penalizes using those champions). In terms of 7-stars, Shuri got the nod in Necropolis over Stryfe, and potentially Northstar is designed for long form content. Even Professor X got the chance to come of the bench and shine. Enchantress is supposedly good for longform, and Wong managed to make a mark as well.

What change or buff would be needed to make Stryfe a lot more relevant?

    "A lot more relevant"?

Passive infuriate and SP lock during his invisibility. Would it be OP? Oh absolutely, but he'd be more relevant

IMO his big issue is how hard it is to build charges offensively - you get a few from throwing an L1 and then heavy right after but it takes forever and is high-risk, and then you lose a bunch to glance a single incoming attack.

I agree with this. With how difficult it is to gain charges, it’s so punishing to get hit. One combo and you’ve lost all the charges you gain that fight. I think it needs to be easier to gain charges (would love it if it didn’t involve spamming his heavy attack because no one likes that) and then less punishing when you get hit. He’s gotta a lot of utility and solid damage when ramped but he’s just not fun to use.

Only thing id change is the ramp up with the heavy chance being higher

Stryfe is pretty insane for Everest content as it is - it's where he's allowed to shine.
He's great in the Necropolis and a tippy-top option for Abyss & Labyrinth.

I'd personally choose Stryfe over Ægon 100 times out of 100.

And why is that? Not to be mean just ligit curious.

Stryfe is way better than mid star nd nega noodle for everest. He is best everest mutant next to onslut

Stryfe is also a more skill-intensive Champion and a bit more involved, which fits my preferred playstyle and is more fun & engaging for me in long-form content. I enjoy his loop of triggering his Phase on Special 1, Heavy Intercepting while Invisible, and keeping his Passive Shock active for additional Burst on his Special 2.

Great write up. But I think this gets at the heart of what prompted my post - Stryfe seems and is awesome, but he is not the popular choice. And this is despite Stryfe being "cheaper" to use (ie. less revives needed to reach full ramp).

Is it mainly the 'skill-ask' for ramp up that is discouraging players from choosing Stryfe? I will admit that is an impossible question to answer why some champions are popular while others get ignored/forgotten (For example, I think Vox is great for short and long form content, but most players will ignore him over the 'sexy' Cosmics dujour)

Could you say all that again but in the form of a YouTube video :)
He did in one of his Necropolis run 😊👍

I will always choose ease of use over stress and time, even if Strfye is the cheapest option. So the only way I'd use him is if he goes unblockable at 100 persistent charges. The closest thing he has to that currently is the Apoc synergy, but you still have to build to 20 charges, which isn't nearly as easy as Aegon getting to and staying unblockable.

Yes, I'd rather spend 5-10 revives to have a permanently unblockable Aegon than have to ramp up Strfye ever fight to reach unblockable.

100% agree. His ramp is also very reasonable.
