Level cap 65 and refined XP

Kabam just announced that there will be an increase in the level cap to 65 and there will also be "refined XP" available to Valiant players and above. Is refined XP required to advance beyond level 60 or is standard XP useable?

    Standard xp won't count towards this.
    Refind xp is a new thing.
    It is going to be limited.
    It is not farmable from what I heard.
    It will be in super daily event and act 9.2
    Will take about 2 months to get 1 level up.

    Based on what they said is that it’s not necessarily that standard XP won’t work but just be extremely negligible that you’d have to be a mad man to try.

    What will happen to the refined XP if you're not level 60 yet? Like I'm on level 57, and I'm most likely gonna complete 9.2 before reaching level 60. Does the refined XP get stored, or does it just get wasted, and can it count as normal XP?

    We can only go past 60 with refined xp
