Getting really tired of game crashing and being punished for it in alliance war

Dear kabam,

Your game crashes randomly …. Often….

We put up with it because in general it doesn’t have a really negative effect.

Except in alliance quest and in particular alliance war. Can we just stop the punishment?

So in aq, you lose half your hp. That’s really annoying. I’m sure it’s to prevent people force quitting and then restarting the fight…but..why not give them the benefit of the doubt just once…then if it occurs another time within say an hour, then half the hp.

And in alliance war, you lose half hp AND a node point…so double punishment.

It happens almost every war.

This war, went into a clean fight vs doom. Immediately after pressing fight, the game crashes , and I come back to half hp hero and 1 less bonus node point . The half hp is already bad enough as now I have to heal to even enter the fight. But double punished by losing a war point?

Again I’m sure this is to prevent people force quitting during a fight and redoing it.

But either

1) give people at least once to give benefit of doubt.then if it occurs again within an hour or so, then do ok them half hp or a point.

2) remove the half hp, or the lost point. Why is there 2 penalties for this?

Also, surely the game can detect whether a fight has even been entered or not. If a fight hasn’t been entered but it has been queued , surely the game can just restart the fight, AS IT DOES in fact in almost every other game mode of mcoc. Why is it only in aq and aw that it just takes you back to the map screen and leaves you half dead with docked points (in aw).

Can you guys please take a look at this incredibly needless punishment for the game crashing.

We are being punished for things we cannot control…

Just set the game to allow us to renter the fight with no punishment at least once…before starting with the punishments..

As a reminder, healing 50% hp for a rk 3 would cost around 3-4 potions, so around 60 to 80k loyalty.

So one game crash costs someone potentially 60-80k loyalty every time.

You can’t give alliances 30 mulligans in war, it’s not reasonable

I can get behind the argument for not losing health/attack bonus if fight has not started. I know it’s a bummer when game crashes but if they gave a free restart then everyone will abuse it.

If they at least have the game acknowledge a non starting fight, that would probably solve it.

I’ve never had a fight crash during a fight, apart from at then end with the dreaded not connected Wi-Fi sign of death.

So if the game can register a non start fight, it can put you back where you were supposed to be.

The reason you lose health is because the game started the fight on their server. It's just synced with your phone which likely means your connection is poor.

Does poor connection cause mcoc to instant crash?

I have a friend with an iPad (newer model) who says he rarely gets crashes. When we are in the same house, he will play without crashing, whereas, for example , today, I’ve had 3 crashes, 2 back to back, so my hero ended up being on 25% hp…..

    Clicked on fight. Game crashed.
Reloaded game. Clicked on fight. Game crashed.

Meanwhile, my friend sitting next to me on same internet. No issues.

Maybe it can observe that a fight lasts zero seconds then ? Or that there is no input from the players side? That could work for allowing the player to load back into the start of the fight.

Happens in bg. If you crash, you load straight back into the fight , just with less time.

In other parts of the game it fully resets you back to start of fight.

    What device are you using?

I can totally get behind this and it's not a network issue thing. Just happens randomly.

It's annoying AF if the fight never started in the first place and I gotta lose a point and some health on top of that.

Surely they can remedy this issue with ease unless Neatherealm Studios is better at coding than Kabam.

Think about when and where it happens. Sometimes it's crashing in AW and AQ, but there is the AI issue as well. I am sure that a lot of you have had your characters doing things by themselves as if it is on auto play and your inputs don't register. Why only in AQ and AW? Where would you be more likely to spend units on health potions? Just a lucky coincidence? Start monitoring what the app says that the memory usage is and compare that to the actual total memory usage under device care when you have all background apps off. You will see names of apps that you know that weren't running in the background and oddly enough MCOC won't show up at all. The funny thing is, these totals go through the roof when you play AQ and AW. Coincidence? There's a reason that there isn't much interest in resolving these issues and it's pretty obvious. I am not sure why more people haven't noticed or complained. Maybe they have and their comments were deleted. As far as the memory and AI issue goes, check it out yourself and draw your own conclusion. I have a background in the cellular industry as an engineer and find some of these issues very interesting as well as being very odd. Calling tech support or customer service is usually an option for most companies, but if you don't want certain things fixed or changed you wouldn't want to offer those services. Just let everyone fill out a ticket or post a comment, then ignore them. All in all, it is a great business model if you just want to make as much money as possible without dealing with your customers if you don't feel like it.
