If you use Flamin Trinity (Domino Massacre and Red Hulk) as 6* champion, then a 7* trio might not be so bad at all with the attack boost and larger health. I don't have 7* Massacre (haven't done the challenges).

We are far past the days where a synergy tesm composition is what we can use.
Act 9 has paths that pretty much want one type of champion (ie. Science with poison immune or inflicts Weakness). I’d rather take two green Hulks and have 3 more roster spots to use for the Boss/specific path defender, than use up 3 spots to make my Rulk look good.
Even the SoS type content only allows you three roster spota. Bringing the trinity probably is likely not the best option to handle 6 different defenders.
5 mystics, 1 mutant. Could probably be a little more balanced.
Kabam loves the mystic class. We got 6 mystics this year in total, the most in a long time. White Tiger, Destroyer, Enchantress, Shathra, Spiral, and now Isophyne

Why would they ADD red hulk??? I thought they wanted to uplift the value of the titan. He's really not that good and we are not going to pretend he is.
It's impressive how people have already forgotten the value of red hulk since his buff. Maybe you just don't know it yet? Ignorance is something that can be avoided.
Can you enlighten us? What does he do well? Aside from handling incinerate, is there anything he does that OG Hulk doesn’t cover? I have the 6* at R2 and I’ve used him for a niche fight or two that needed incinerate and poison immunity but he always feels very underwhelming to play. He felt very underwhelming when I just used him in the Chronoversary quest. Damage doesn’t seem great and the regen isn’t enough to be worthwhile. Maybe I’ve been playing him wrong but I never see him mentioned by anyone for anything to make me want to rank him any further.
He doesn't have anything much. Used to be a good champ for aw path 9 but nowadays there are many who can do path 9. He needs like 4 sp1 for full ramp up. Sp2 regenerates like 5% of max health (nothing crazy). His damage is kinda good when ramprd(max ramped herc level minus the extra crits) but nothing too fancy. I can name 15 science 7*s who is more useful than him lol.
If you're taking the right matches, you don't need to throw 4 Sp1s. Fight any mystic and he'll ramp in quickly. Take any poison or incinerate path and he'll ramp in seconds. I use him on path 9 in nearly every single war since that's my path. He's tanky as well.
Is he the most fancy champ in the world? No. He's extremely solid and much better than you give him credit for.
Rulk is definitely the least of the new six but he's not bad. I feel like Science is the strongest class at seven star so giving them someone who isn't a home run (like say Ibomb or Red Guardian) makes sense.
I love Rintrah but they really should have had a mutant ready to go. Heck, Nightcrawler would have fit in perfect here as most don't have him awakened and he's also a great defender like Rintrah.

For many of us, he is a home run.
I think Red Hulk has a lot of uses and some interesting immunities and synergies. I just personally would choose him fifth if Kabam said to me add a legacy science champ to the titan behind Scorpion, Human Torch, Ibomb, and Red Guardian. Useful but I'm not taking him over any of those other champs.

I would love a 7* version of SC. He's a champion I've always wanted to rank up but have never learned to play consistently. The crit boost from stat focus would be nice for him as well.
