Anyone know if there's any reason to wait before spending/opening, or does it make sense to just open everything currently available once the banquet pops?

To be fair, there is a lot more nuance in the information they provided. Not everyone is in an alliance, for example, so some it the things I presented won't apply, and it would be misleading. Others bought extra tickets over the last few months that would change the calculations, etc.
@Double_Helix Thanks for the chart. There's an assumption that the community will reach enough points to get certain rewards like 7-Star Isophyne. There are lots of whales though, so fingers crossed

Plus whatever I get from the SBC and all the milestones, this looks like a winner in my books. All those that say the cyber week deals are better haven't seen all the guaranteed rewards. 15k in units during cyberweek will not get you this much.

Yes - it takes into consideration all rewards obtained/reinvested from the 3 events themselves, so 15050 is the net amount of units needed out of pocket (going into the event, and farmed during)
It also assumes that one has the 10 tokens from the sinister bundle, and will be able to reach 20 tickets (10 more from the accolades events) to acquire 2 more

This table would have been beneficial to me the previous 7 years since i never gave banquet the time of the day. But this year im going to spend over 30k units so it wouldn't do any good. Thank you.

3360 points needed, if you use the free units (1150) and the 10 free crystals, that gives you 3 sbc at 400 points each, 1 gbc at 330 points and 10 sbc at 100 points each. So 2530 points from that. At 2530 points you will have earned 1 more sbc each from the solo and alliance events. That puts you at 2730.
The remaining points can be earned for free from the accolades event, but you’ll need to be patient as those come over the course of 10 days. You’ll also earn another free crystal/100 points when you hit 2880 in the solo event.
Edit - just saw you asked about getting it today. So based on above calculation of having 2730 points today, you will need 630 more to get her. 1 sbc and 1 gbc will get you there. 550 units.
