Think this was the final straw....

This event was utter garbage and I cannot believe I spent 15k on it out of the sheer excitement created by the team. I had been on the fence about quitting and after seeing all these f2p units going down the drain whenI had farmed them for god knows how long. I was genuinely very optimistic about the event and logged in the second it went live. And the funny thing is, I actually trusted the promises made by the team and went in without suspicions about it being a trash event that was hyped for so long. Anyway, think I will probably quit the game now with so many units wasted and it seeming like they only care about crushing our expectations nowadays.
(Kind of a long rant but I love the game so much and it hurts to see them screwing us in so many damn ways. Also English isnt my first language so forgive me for any making any mistakes)

    First time I've had 13k units to spend and was excited for the event. Blew nearly all of it just hoping for something good. Duped and R2 dust but nothing else except a bit more of the mats I don't have a problem getting. Just on a bit of a downer now as I'd rather have kept the units and really can't be bothered now.

    I've been reading & agreeing with most of the assorted threads. This event is definitely a letdown. I'm trying to figure out why these big events have been falling so flat recently. Part of me thinks it's these realm events. By adding in rewards that can be earned by a "group," the resource allocation needs to suffer elsewhere. With the exception of the necro event, they haven't worked. We needed "donations" to reach last milestone & I'm guessing after today, the banquet realm event will slow down substantially. Yes, it was fun to work as team towards a better goal, but something is obviously wrong. People save all year for events like this. I use the word expect, within moderation, a decent ROI on their units. Units require either a decent amount of time or a credit card & both are a valuable resource. Why not rethink these realm events & figure out a way to allocate the resources in the crystals, so we can possibly avoid a s**tstorm of an unhappy player base...

    I don’t blame realm stuff tbh. It’s nice having some guaranteed stuff for contributing

    The filler is too much, too heavily weighted, and they’ve been doing this for a bit. Last year had the same issue before realm events

    I think the problem is that Kabam seemingly overvalues 7* and titan shards. I would argue it is because of the need to include thronebreaker players in on the SBC, thus requiring them to see t6cc, t5cc, and t6c/t3a as valuable to these players. Which is completely true, these would significantly help thronebreaker players. Problem is, paragons and valiant are left with crystals that are worse for their progression.

    The part that confuses me is why they felt that thronebreakers didn’t deserve the 7* in the 10x10 (they don’t), but they somehow can have the same banquet crystals as paragon/valiant players.
    You've echoed my immediate thought (and I've shared this in a couple spots) when they said TB was included in the SBCs. I wasn't worried about TB getting too much, but rewards being reduced for Valiants because we are stuck sharing rewards with lower level progressions. Sharing with Paragon is one thing, but the amount of rewards we share with TB is increasingly disappointing and frustrating and this event just put the icing on the cake. Kabam is literally making things worse for Valiants by constantly making things easier for TB.

    That’s how I feel too, no more spending money on Kabam after getting shafted over and over again.

    After this terrible banquet i wont be participating in another 25 banquet tokens 20 superior for t6b t3a’s and a few measly t6cc shards never again

    I was going to spend big on this event - won’t be spending a single cent on it now. Paying money to Kabam only perpetuates the problem. The ONLY thing they care about is the dollar bottom line. Boycotting the event on mass is the only way to send a message.

    I took this event as an opportunity to dump all my remaining units, instead of saving them as max as possible as I always did. I'm planning on quitting after acquiring deathless thanos and complete the carina challenge for the dup, so pretty much had to reason to save anymore. It also helps a bit to lose the interest in staying

    I think there’s a reason they started this event on a Friday. They knew there would be mayhem and hope people cool off over the weekend. At the very least they can just ignore peoples’ frustration because they’re out of office.

    I am not quitting… but I am seriously reconsidering my monthly purchases and event purchases. And my arena time - I had got into a rhythm of milestones… now I am just wondering why it matters. Every event the unit spend requirement gets bigger. And THE unit event (banquet) has been turned into a waste of units for top progression players.

    Clobberin like many others was disappointed in the 2024 champ releases for the first 8 months of the year being mid. Don’t know why you’re even bringing him into this, not really relevant lol

    Do 5k, it covers most of it( unless you are crazy about one of the glorious guardians or duping Isophyne)
