The game experienced a brief connectivity issue this morning. The team promptly fixed the issue and things are back to normal, thank you to everyone who passed along reports!

After using Shathra for over a month….I have one suggestion

Can confirm she is GREAT. HOWEVER, there is one huge drawback that I think would be a simple fix that’s not too op. While charging her heavy, you want to do so when the opponent has power, which can leave you vulnerable to get smacked in the face. I think there should be a short special lock on the opponent when charging the heavy to reduce the likelihood of taking that risk and putting some more skill into her playstyle. And for those who will say it, this, I don’t think, would not make her too op on defense either as her specials are pretty easily dexable and you can still hit the opponent while they’re charging the heavy to cancel out the special lock.

Another idea would be a passive stun when within a certain proximity of the opponent. Similar to dooms or silks, etc. Let me know what you guys think. I think the first idea would really bring out her playstyle and allow shathra users to play her with skill rather than risk. If there’s a fix for the problem mentioned please elaborate. I’m interested to hear

Special lock when charging heavy is a no go, if it triggered fast enough that it removed the risk of the opponent throwing a special then you could just heavy spam in the corner and the defender would be unable to do anything. It’d need some sort of cooldown or other limiting factor.

Honestly I don’t think this is much an issue worth fixing. Baiting a heavy or punishing a special is usually enough of a window for me to get off as much heavy charge as I need, and the fact that the resulting sp2 is unblockable removes most risk that you’ll be punished for doing this.

Granted, mine is unduped. I can bait heavies, but when I charge the heavy the power steal ramps so with some matchups the recovery time for the defending AI is too quick off the baited heavy and I can’t get up to an sp2. I like your cooldown idea. It could go on cooldown after throwing an sp2 or something since that’s her main source of damage. I’m just thinking out loud. I play her like she’s intended but most of the time either 1. The opponent doesn’t have enough power for me to steal to make it to an sp2, so I throw the sp1 thinking that I’m at an sp2 and get smacked in the face (so many time in this victory track season) or 2. A reiterated version of earlier and I get smacked in the face because of a quicker heavy recovery time than the ramp up of the heavy charge power steal

Maybe an intimidate debuffs on the opponent might work instead, still leaves a chance of getting struck but will help.. but personally I like to keep the relic ready, I'll throw that while charging if they decide to dash in..

Yeah I like this idea a lot. Not too broken, not too underwhelming. I feel like that was the only problem I had when playing her and even with that problem, she’s still op.

I saw where someone commented on buffing her totems for spiderverse characters too. That could play into some of this possibly where there’s like a ramping aspect. Or you unlock that pre fight after a fight and then after two it just gets even better and better. Might be cool. Your intimidate idea is perfect though

I just parry and heavy during the stuns and besides that I'll just be heavy punish their specials. She can be played very safe that way. The opponent doesn't need a ton of power for you to steal, if they have even half a bar of power, then you'll basically get 2 full bars of power from that alone.
