Valiant Players, did the Milestone Rewards convince you to spend Units on Banquet Crystals?

I'm looking for mainly Valiants as the milestone rewards are more impactful for lower progression that are lumped into the same rewards Valiants get.
And yes, the milestone rewards are definitely "worth" it. However, the crystals are just so bad.
And while it is true the milestone rewards can make up for it , the other factor to consider is that those same units you spend could have been saved for next years July 4 and Cyber Monday deals. Furthermore, Kabam "upped the ante" last July 4 by making the cost come out to 36k units as opposed to the typical 18-21k. I want to know if anyone is saving their units and skipping on milestone rewards for this or other reasons.

I was wondering if I should save my units for the Carina's Challenges that popped up (like I mostly did during last year's Banquet), but ultimately spending on the event really helped me get my roster in order to do those objectives. R1 champions became r2s, unawakened ones got their dupes, 6*s became newly-pulled 7*s etc.
Moreover, it was a really cool test to see how far I could get without spending (almost) anything. I've spent on the Sigil and that daily card where you pick up 20 units per day, but other than that, all of my units were farmed throughout the year. I found a good rhythm for playing the game where I generally don't have to dip into my units when completing content, which allowed me to build a large enough hoard that I could reach the top milestone now when I chose to empty it out. That's definitely something I'll try to adhere to throughout 2025 as well. I don't grind enough to be able to empty out every sale throughout the next year, but I really liked being able to do so now so I'll probably aim to do so again next year.
I would’ve got 3 R3s out of cyber, I’m at 2 R3s out of banquet but with some better pulls on champs so on balance about the same perhaps. Happy with an awakened Medusa, I did the same with Adam last year and didn’t regret.
Wasn’t too impressed with the pulls from the SBCs but in fairness, I can’t complain because I saw the drop rates were low before I opened them.
Was a hard slog to get to 22k tho, god knows how I’ll get to 36k😂
I took advantage of the current unit store Odin deals for the insane extra units and Titan shards since I'm trying to get Spiral. Spent more units for the solo and alliance milestones, and will stack the rest to finish Act 9.1 where the better rewards are, and wait for future content and events.
I will prob get the rest of the Odins, Starks, and maybe the BP's for the units and Titan and 7* shards. I will open the SBC crystals from the deals, but won't spend anymore units on them.
The solo tops out at 20k and the alliance event tops out at 7k. What a joke.
SBC’s were overhyped and terrible,..killed off a great deal of excitement from the event.
