Valiant push, help deciding second r3

EsjyEsjy Member Posts: 17
Have 3 generic r1-2 gems 1 glorious game 1-2 and a cosmic awakening gem. Have the mats for 1 r3 of the specific classes

This is my roster for those classes, I'm about to go for Act 8 completion for the 7* crystal and shards to try expand roster, unsure who is best to take up for Glykhan and generally.
I have nefaria r3 and domino r2 but don't have the mutant t6 for r3

prepared to invest in an r3 obv and also 1-3 r3 depending who would be most helpful to have for act 7/8/9 exploration

You and i have similar 7* rosters. I personally went for Shuri and Wiccan as my first 3 r3s (Sunspot being the third) and dont regret it. All great champs that benefit from the higher health pool and damage jump.

I am now considering a prowler r3 push as well because he is good in general gameplay but is coming good in recent autumn of agony fights. Vox would also have been a choice for me if i hadnt already r4'ed the 6* i had. For now, i am sticking to champs i havent highly ranked in 6*s.

Juggs is great for Glykhan but honestly I wouldn't make a rank up decision based on this fight. I'm not a great player and I found it to be one of the easier chapter bosses, anyone can handle him.

You dont need a 7* for glykhan. A good r3 or higher 6* would do the trick.

I used a 6r4 kitty pryde against him because in the later phases his special 2 can be slightly difficult to punish but kitty can phase through his last hit and make the openings easier.

I have the same problem rn but I would go for prowler in your case

Prowler is amazing at r3 but his sig needs to be as high as possible, if you can get him to 180-200 that’s ideal. Still good at lower sigs but not as reliable

I;ve heard good about shuri but haven't found her great yet, I've been doing story content since I got her and haven't found a use. Wiccan has bee great but I'm biased as he was my first 7* back at Uncollected (Captain Marvel Movie Magnetron Crystal event pulled 2 7*)
Hearing that they've both been good rank 3's is reassuring thank you. How useful has vox been? I've enjoyed his playstyle as its really simple (as far as I've used him) wondering how beneficial his sig ability is?

Wish I had a Juggs tbh he seems my style of play. Simple and W-key lol. I've not planned to rank for it specifically but its good to know I don't need to, I haven't for any boss so far actually, I just like vox as he is simple damage.I am also not a great player, I keep messing up 8.4.2 atm its a ronan cheese path and I've made it halfway once without dying, make me sad. Thank you

I do have a Kitty actually, but I'm not a great mechanical player tbh and I never ranked Ghost for the same reason, she is also unawakened. But as she is so good and defo not gonna be a 7* ill keep her in mind for exploration, thanks again.

I am leaning towards him as falter is one of my least favourite things and I managed to dupe him immediately, same with the 6* he's natural Sig 80 now, I've pulled prowler 6* and 7* seven times now lol. I just know shuri is really popular and is often rank 3'd unduped, do you have much of an opinion on who you prefer?

Yeah, that's the main reason its in question between shuri and prowler as he is awakened but I don't have resources to take him to even sig 50. But he is really appealing to learn, as I've found him nicer to play than shuri, but idk how to play either properly yet as they're recent additions and not been path relevant yet. Thanks for the input on him, good to know the investment he'll need

I can vouch for Sersi, Sentinel and Guilly 2099.

I can also see arguments for Gorr, Vox and Knull, but I would focus on the first three first. Sentinel buff goes hard ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I've loved having Sersi on the team; her simple rotation and massive fury damage have been great. Guilly2099, I haven't been convinced of yet, and I'll need to try buffed Sentinel, too; I've fought one recently, and it was such a boring fight. Gorr was my first 6* as well and I left him behind fast I don't like how he works I find it too strict and I often get caught out because of it. It's good to hear I've got a decent option range, though, between classes. I'm honestly still hoping to pull someone from Act 8 completion rewards

He seems really fun and I was praying for a 7* dupe so I could rank him. I'm leaning towards him as my r3 and keeping shuri at r2

    Sersi

Out of my cosmics she is my favourite, her glancing and furies are amazing. I'm guessing you have her; where has she done best for you?

I have her at r2, goat in literally every single game mode. In incursions she is insane with buff cornucopia. Bg she is a nuke on attack, especially against high armour opponent's, and she is scary on defence. Great quester, high damage, easy to access imo. I don't do aw but she would work well on attack and on d. FYI she counters bullseye like crazy. Heavy for glancing and block his sp1, you will take like 2 percent damage maybe

    Deffo prowler mate.

Wiccan is a great choice and love mine, but he’s not top tier mystic. Prowler is a top tech and you’ve got it awakened.

Yap alert, but Sersi expert is here to offer outdated advice that I do not care to change :)

Sersi is a strong dual-threat in BGs. Solid on defense with her unblockable specials catching people off guard, and very solid on offense too.

She was a favorite of mine in the hazard shift meta because with 3 transmutation buffs, she lowers the duration of bleeds, incinerates, and shocks by 90%.

Her uses include, ending fights fast, huge damage with furies, and various other utility. Glancing means that you can parry photon freely without her going untouchable, and has other fun interactions as well with other champions. At sig 200 and with 5 transmutation buffs, you can face-tank a special with glancing and heal from it. I've used that many times to win various matches like when a NF used sp1, I tanked the whole special and lost .1% of my health as opposed to blocking it and losing 2% or more of my health. With the current fix on Sersi, she will actually heal a slight amount more of damage she takes with 5 transmutation buffs, sig 200, and the recovery mastery. She was a lot of fun back when she was bugged though because she was healing twice the amount of damage she took while glancing, which I definitely used often in both BGs and even in my necro fight video I made against Odin.

Best relic for her is the Thor relic. Just use the relic before using your sp2 for the amplitude on all the furies.

She gets stronger the more armor ups on either her or the opponent with each armor on either of you acting like another fury buff for her special attacks. If someone has a ton of armor, like red skull, then sp1 while close to him (after getting your furies) to get a true damage buff and now the armor means nothing.

She is also really good in incursions. Buff cornucopia, keep it going, and the hacks that give you armor ups are super good for her. Defensive cascade for the stun lock is always a classic too. In those fights she will probably trigger glancing on parries, due to their absurd attack rating, which is helpful for her. She also is solid against hazard shift as well or biohazard (not as preferable as a bleed immune, but still works) as well as finishes fights stupid quickly. With keep it going, just use your special when you're at 19 hits to place a stupid potent armor break on the opponent.

She takes awhile to get used too, but she is a super solid champion and definitely my favorite in the game.

Oh that's very good news that she stays relevant. I've loved her in BGs she is such a nuke and glancing makes defending great. Haven't thought to use her against bullseye, thanks for that. I just chose Domino over Negasonic despite the bullseye counter, I did really want her tho, domino was just too good to pass up. I think ill take her to r2 then, probs not an r3 though yet. Thank you

Yeah I think that's the route I'm going to go honestly, I've tried Shuri a little more and shes got great damage, I'm gonna look into how to use them both properly and see from there. Thanks, I might r2 wiccan hust to make my mystic class a bit stronger honestly

Ah a connseisour I see. I agree with all of it honestly, shes been fantastic. Only issue is I only have 1 thor relic, a 3 star and its on my r4 ascended cgr, hopefully I'll get another soonish. Interesting on her sig ability and the regen. Shes only naturally sigged from dupe but ill keep her in mind.

I just took Prowler to rank 3; he has replaced my fant as my pfp. I tried him and Shuri in RoL, and Prowler felt way nicer to use, I don't have Sentinel duped, so I didn't want to take him. I really like Prowler and have been wanting to use him. Thank you everyone for your responses, anyone have anything to add to my rank 2 choices, I have three rank 2 gems
