BPCW lacking… something?

After looking at black panther’s and the Deadpool x-force’s burst, I’m just struggling to see where BPCW fits in the game. He just seems lack luster and I’m wondering if he will get balanced in the future. I’m open to being wrong, but I just feel like he’s lacking something. Thoughts?

The big difference is in ramp up time/cooldowns. DPX’s ramp up is very short and he has no cooldown. BPCW has a longer ramp *and* has a cooldown. BPCW can get a bigger burst than DPX can, but DPX can get two or three full strength bursts in the time it takes for BPCW to get one.

To be fair, I didn’t think about BPCW defender potential.

I wish they had gave him more than just a damage boost like a regen ability involving the Heart Shaped herb.

They needed to drastically improve his block proficiency, maybe just on perfectly timed blocks. He takes too much damage blocking hits while ramping up, seems like an oversight as this is basically his entire kit now and renders him useless in BG’s. Can’t see much of a use for him outside of BG’s so it is a fail in my eyes.

I’d also add that DPX’s method of ramp is just better. Idling and/or throwing light attacks is something that can be done in almost every piece of content in the game without worry of some kind of punishment mechanic (except Ikaris, the exception that proves the rule).

Parrying is a behavior that is punished by several nodes and matchups. I don’t hate on BPCW, mine is r2 sig like 100. But I do feel like there’s some tweaking that he needs. Maybe it’s just removal of the cooldown on his matrix on attack, so he can start ramping again immediately.

Idk for bpcw compared to before his buff I think this is a great buff for him. Yea he don’t put the numbers as dpx but the fact that he has defensive abilities too I think balances that out while dpx is all attack and no defense. I think he fits in more for bg. I been using him no problems so far only at sig 20

Deadpool is a 5/5 damage dealer with basically no defensive value and not much utility other than no one being immune to him and his taunts. BPCW is a dual threat and if you invest into his sig ability he can finish most BG matches in a single sp2. On top of that he has extra utility and if you mess up while fighting him he can deal a lot of damage as a defender. He’s not meant to be as good of a damage dealer because damage is basically all DPX has.

He suffers from spot syndrome. Need to block and take chip damage a lot, which is not ideal for bgs, and not ideal for questing either. And unlike spot, he don't have many abilities to reduce chip damage.
