Relic prestige dropping

Myself and multiple alliance members have noticed when duplicating a relic it is dropping our relic prestige. I have 24 x 5* relics all at max rank, 1 x sig 200, 1 x sig 180, 1 x sig 160, 1 x sig 140 and a rank 3 6* relic at sig 100. I just duplicate my 5th highest prestige relic from sig 120 to 140 and my relic prestige dropped from 1585 to 1522. How is this possible? Any information regarding this?

Think it was also upon dup'ing one of their top Relics.
Haven’t heard anything else about it.
@pseudosane ??
Support team mentioned they’re gonna look into it, but not to expect anything..
Is the drop only from on one of your top-5 Relics ? If not, then what's the harm in applying Rankup stuff to some lower relics.
Also, for the little bit of drops when Dup'ing, would ranking up your relics overcome the little Dup drop in prestige anyways ?
And in comparing to other alliances, the drops are probably happening (on average) to other alliances around your overall alliance prestige range as well. So if everyone is dropping a little, is it really affecting 1 alliance any more than it also is some other alliances around you ?
(unless there is a coordinated effort among all of the top alliances, that nobody at all is allowing any relic changes by their members ???)
The drops have been significant. Around 50 points each time I duplicate and yes, this is a big drop. Big enough that no one is opening their 5* relics currently. When you are in a top AQ alliance, prestige is everything.
Looks like this one is on the bug fix list for January update...they also sort of mention the drop is working as intended in some cases
'lower values were often the correct ones"

But that new Calc didn’t actually happen in existing rosters, *UNTIL* there was a change.
In which case the new Calc actually happened to newly changed rosters, resulting in *correct* PI, which were now lower values.
Meanwhile, those rosters without a change benefitted by “now-inflated (incorrect)” PI.
