Thoughts on the 3 buffs?

(No sable so someone with experience can comment here lol)

Arcade: I have a duped 7* r2. You definitely want the sig high now for the torment but he’s noticeably better. His damage from the poison clouds is pretty nice and he’s a decent damage dealer now. What’s great is they’ve made a ton of other cool improvements to him and he’s utility packed and can shut down a ton of opponents in the corner. Go watch MSDs vid on him because the control is kinda crazy. He’s also a much better defender, harder to play against and more brutal when you mess up. The shock damage is now 3x over 3 seconds so you’ll take a ton of damage if you mess up

NS: Also a duped 7* r2 and man, I don’t think they did him justice. He feels nicer to play and ramp now but the pauses still feel way too short at times and it feels like I can’t even go for big sp2’s. He hits hard faster now but I’m gonna sit on this one, a definite improvement but they didn’t change the pause timer at all…

What are y’all’s thoughts so far?

Good to know about Arcade. I'm going to go ahead and rank him now lol

I find northstar great honestly. Generally speaking the rotation seems to be sp2 then focus on sp1 until the first speed force is expired to build momentum and pauses, then when it's expired go for another sp2 to convert more reverb and I never had to worry about the pauses expiring. He's definitely geared to longer fights but I've found him super satisfying and he absolutely shreds. Definitely not to everyone's tastes but I'm really tempted to rank 2 mine for some necro fights after I've done the 10 year challenge

Now northstar doing less damage, seems like a nerf

How is he doing less damage?

Sable and Arcade are looking much better. Haven’t tested Northstar yet

Do i need collar tech for using arcade offensively.

It helps but not necessarily required

Is his damage noticeably better than, say, Prof X?

Both have the whole “every fight build your Prowess stacks and spam lower cost specials” shtick. I like refreshes more than pauses, so Northstar’s loop seems more work to me.

I got sable r3. She’s very VERY good now imo. Three sp1’s and then an sp2 will kill most defenders. All you need to know is intercepts and good special timing. Not the best for battlegrounds, but a worthwhile rank up for story content 100%.

Have her r2 and she's sooooo much better.....fun as hell too

Don't even need 3 sp1 either....just 1....keep triggering shocks....make sure they cross her trap during sp2 and any fight is over

That was a quarter mil damage by crit shocks in about 4 seconds .... Crazy damage

Is she viable for BGs now?

Arcade just become the best defender now - more annoying

    Redskull is way easy
Arcade is shock ,poison ,incenerate immune + multiple heavy needed as -2 charge per heavy so it slows down + that shock 6k at 7*r2 which gets mode modified that deals a lot of damage

Just like shehulk u can heavy chain - u can heavy chain in the corner (autoblock will save u ) so just heavy heavy specials(keep them in the cloud) u are done.
He might get the shehulk heavy nerf

I mean they work for different things. Northstar can keep ramping up to absurd amounts and keep it up very easily, whereas professor x hits a relatively stable limit and going above that can be risky. Northstar can deal with unstoppable, can get around damage caps easier because of his many hits and counters Killmonger

I guess thats what my question is: what is Northstar's "steady state" of Prowess/Reverbs that one can expect to stack and maintain? Cause looking at the kit I see a 10 second Prowess and 14 second Reverb, and then a pause ability based on getting back to a bar of power. You gain Prowess with each special, so does the reverbs potentially falling off lead to a certain steady state?

As an example, although Ironheart has a max cap of 50 debuffs, I personally find it very hard to reach 15+ debuffs without losing some when trying to use my SP2 vs getting stuck in the SP1 pause loop.

If the prowess is falling off at all you're playing him wrong. You drop an l2 at at least 2 and a half bars and the reduced special cost means you can ramp back up to an sp1 very quickly, then get to another before the first pauses are over. Then to play it really safe you can triple sp1 or push to sp2 for more reverb. I've run him through reason of legends 3 times since yesterday and had maybe 2 or 3 prowess drop off in total

Northstar remains a ramp-up champion that can lose his ramp-up within fights (pauses expire too quickly) and is guaranteed to lose his ramp-up between fights (no persistent charge). How this wasn’t addressed in the rebalance is beyond me.

Silver Sable’s rebalance is a full-on buff and most welcome. Arcade I’m not familiar with but he wasn’t awful before so any improvement is just a cherry on top.

Maybe not all ramp-up champs are supposed to have persistent charges

I have him as 6 stars, but only playing on Arenas, he is almost in the end of line to upgrade
