Bought the Sigil for express arena - but I don't have express arena

SkunkcabbageSkunkcabbage Member Posts: 359 ★★★
Hi guys,
I bought the Sigil on Sunday to make doing arena tolerable, but I don't have the express arena, I've logged out and back in again, reinstalled the app, but nothing works.
This series of arena is ending today and I've missed a lot of units, I haven't used any third party apps to warrant banning me from express arena and I've definitely paid for Sigil, I have Play store receipt to prove it. Can anyone help?

they're upgrading the sigil and are turning it off from the 13th to the 27th. you'll get compensation for buying the sigil and a separate compensation for missing out on arena express.

Oh, I never saw that popup, thanks for letting me know, I must've dismissed the notification without looking at it..

Not sure how they could compensate me accurately for not doing any/many milestones because I haven't put my time into the arena because it's not there, and others may have hit max milestone WITHOUT express arena, so it's going to be impossible to give out anything that's even close to equitable to us.

I understand there must be a technical reason express arena needed to be turned off, but wish there was a workaround they could've done to somehow keep it active while they did the groundwork for the new version of express arena.. I really needed those units to get last couple of Necro Carina done.

Also the inventory cap hasn't increased? My 7* Sig stones overflow didn't increase, I think I just lost 25 generic 7* Sig stones that were due to expire on Monday..

Did they announce when compensation will be coming?
Absence of arena express just keeps on reminding how tedious arena is 🫠
Also they turned it off way before 13th if I remember right.

No then you haven’t claimed them before the removal of it.

So is it my fault for not checking that the Sigil was being overhauled and turned off, so that my stash wouldn't increase? Or is it Kabams fault? Or is it nobody's fault? This situation feels extremely messy 😭

Considering they sent an in-game message, there is a pinned post on these forums, and they mentioned it on multiple livestreams, it is willful ignorance if you did not know, so definitely your fault. The compensation is all laid out in the pinned post at the top of the forums.

This is just my opinion, but i think kabam could benefit from having a popup message when you enter the game. For whatever reason, people just don’t bother going to their message inventory, so a popup would be something they can’t ignore. They already have popups for offers that accidentally drain peoples units, why not do the same for extremely important information.

While there were ample use of communication from kabam to send out the message, another one thats less avoidable wouldn’t hurt.

It wouldn't matter. People read and remember what they want. OP is also one of the people who complain about lack of communication from Kabam. Go figure.

Are those not items that you already had expiring before the sigil was taken down though? Whether the inventory limits remained or not, you still had to use already expiring items to keep them from expiring. And anything you've gotten since the sigil went down won't expire until you've got the sigil back, so if there's room in your inventory when the increase returns then you're fine.

They may be but with my sigil when I would use the items it would dream them from overflow…now that I don’t have sigil despite paying for it, it draws the items I use from the expanded inventory that sigil used to give. So the items will expire and not be able to be claimed.

I don't think he's had the Sigil before IMO, so he doesn't understand how it works. I understand what you're talking about though and agree it's frustrating.

This is my thought process too. It's not like we lost 40 inv spaces. About 3-5 of everything.

Where else would it take it from? It's not going to keep your expanded inv. I had 25/25 AQ pots before sigil stopped. I used 5 during AQ and now it's 20/20. Your inv won't refill until you go below the current inventory cap.

So you concede it's a problem and items were lost due to it. E.g. 3-5 L2 solo revives is 120-200 units of value

Are you being deliberately obtuse? The cap is 20 instead of 25, using your numbers, meaning 5 items cannot be stored and are at risk of expiring if it's in overflow. Come on, it's not that hard to understand - please keep up!

No. I just understand what happened. When sigil was deactivated, my AQ items were 25/20. I didn't have any in the overflow but if I did, I wouldn't expect them to be taken from overflow before using the items that were now over the limit.

I don't know what's so hard for you all to understand. The extended inventory stays as long as you don't use anything. Those stash items are on the same timer as they were before the sigil went down. They're not expiring faster.

The game always uses items from your inventory. It was a fairly recent improvement that your inventory would automatically refill from stash if you had overflow.

Everyone who had the sigil is getting an addotional 600 units plus 60 sigil credits the comp is out so if you just bought it last sunday tou will get 900 units which is the combination of 300 units for 16-31 days remaining on the sigil timer and 600 units from arena express also 120 sigil credits for the combination of both i just mentioned above as well

It still does but if your item cap is reduced and you are 25/20, it won't take from your stash until you go below 20.

No then you haven’t claimed them before the removal of it.
So is it my fault for not checking that the Sigil was being overhauled and turned off, so that my stash wouldn't increase? Or is it Kabams fault? Or is it nobody's fault? This situation feels extremely messy 😭

When they tell you weeks ahead of time. Send you an in game message, say it on stream, post 3 times about it on he forums and put it in the update notes, it's fine.

Comprehension seems to escape you. At this point, if Kabam Dork held your hand and walked you through all the communication and explained it directly to you, I still don't think you'd understand.
