When it comes to Spider-man and especially his symbiote rivals, there's only one acceptable artistic frame of reference, and that's Todd McFarlane's. They originally did ok with venom (until the re-skin 🙄), he massive and monstrous so they got that right, but carnage is supposed to be an even more terrifying monster than even venom. We know that they can pull off this kind of effect because of scream, but what we got instead just looks like a normal guy in red and black pj's or a carnage cosplay.
I think he deserves a redesign way more than venom did.
