Definitely sus. If it's a equal rank mangog, ham shouldn't be taking 1 min, it should be 45 seconds at max. Skill issue from the other side.

This is probably why it takes Kabam so long to ban actual cheaters. I'm not saying the OP reported his opponent here, but you must know it happens all the time, someone losing to a high score without understanding why and immediately hitting the cheater report button. Again, not saying the OP did that, but you know it happens A LOT.
