wouldn't you always want to choose the attack and health one?

They don’t stack and the durations don’t add either

so if you already have the onslaught hack active you don’t want to choose it another time it will be wasted

Not if you already had that one active.

Since they're both being newly activated on this node/zone, I can only think of two times where I avoided attack + health compared to the health one that you listed above. I can't remember one example, but the other involved me needing to lower my attack because I didn't want to activate Thing's protection on a super high zone with the champs I was using.

For another random thing, I almost always select the lower health when doing carries as a lower health means you can heal more with the healing hacks, which is beneficial when you're fighting the boss and he's degening you 3% every second.

oooh I see so you want to save the damage for later

He means if you already had selected Onslaught hack in the previous node (or even previous zone). For example, if you selected it on the previous zone, Onslaught would still have 3 zones left. Selecting it again right now wouldn't give you seven zones left, it will just default to the new four zones left. If you hadn't selected the medium health one in the previous 4 zones, you'd want to select that as you would have the Onslaught for three more zones and now the medium health for four more zones.

The boosts hacks randomly appear each time. So the Onslaught one will appear again whether you select it or not. No need to 'save' it for later.

hmmm pretty useful, I think I'll always take the more damage one

Yes, its intriguing as of course we will choose the one below.

But maybe the system choose this "at random".

The only thing is that the same wont appear twice

I had a question of whether or not they stacked once, so I tested it. Already had the 20/20 hack with a couple rooms left on it. Looked at my attack value on the first fight, moved up to the hack node, took another 20/20 hack and my attack and health values were higher on the next fight. They do stack. Always take the best option.

I really never truly understand the value of the Health boosts because they don't really do anything, unless you're using revives presumably. Right? When I add the hack, I don't instantly see my champions have a higher health pool threshold and/or more health?
