You know what would be helpful at the start of the year, a events road map.
Removing lunar new year events for most likely another deadpool/gwenpool event that's exactly the same doesn't change the stateless that has plagued events for a long time.
And finally kabam complaining am event is done but not even trying to improve it and then most likely resending the event with new paint isn't magically going to make it fun.
The last time they gave us road maps, we had near daily requests for wish crystals because they were mentioned as possible to come to the game. They never did and people lost their minds.

that's a case of don't overpromise something you will never deliver. same thing with bases, new masteries.
but the road map that I suggested that they can make early in the year and update to show what events might show up in a month during the year. Additionally, If they already know the confirmed events happening in a year it doesn't hurt to let the players know the month they will show up, doesn't have to be specific but you know that lets say jan 2025 there is no lunar new year but there is a new event 2 months later.

Because the only confirmed events in any given year is July 4th, cyber weekend, banquet and spring cleaning. Any others are not, as evidence by then not doing lunar New year and stating the events to take its place aren't even finalized yet when normally it would've already started. Think before you post.
Imagine you as the player is a driver and Kabam is building the road as you drive, you get the impression that there is an endless road ahead since you already been driving for 10 years
But the reality is there is no road ahead, there is only Kabam road workers building the roads constantly giving you the false impression of an endless road ahead
If it were not an opinion ,calling the Banquet stale would be an outright lie. It was the most happening event all year in mcoc. You yourself must have made around 13 post complaining about it. They were terms of discussions videos and comments about it with multiple responses from the Kabam team .
Yes it might have been disappointing but it was definitely not stale.

even looking at kabam crashed recent post on the banquet and even on champ designs they have told us about, kabam doesn't randomly make event a month before they come out. they would have had the plan months before hand so events are roughly confirmed for the year. with the same reasoning you are using to not want confirmation about other yearly events same holds for the spending events as well
If anything the banquet is stale, it didn’t even held up to expectation.
Whats so stale about opening crystals? Thats the whole event is, give us couple fun fights atleast.
Let us fight couple fights and open crystals..
We want callers units, boost, etc from crystals
Nothing stale about it when all we look forward to it.
How are you adding what’s “missing” to other events?
It’s bigger than lunar new year where a lot of people spend it?
What there to even look for ahead in live stream?
We already told you what needs to be updated in the game, everything is outdated and especially the “updated” Sigil.
Pretty sure the “what’s to look forward to?” is the end game content. About the same time last year we got a video from Seatin talking about the pitfall occurring where the only new stuff was for the sweaty try-hards. We need the sweaty try hards - but there are a bunch of people in the game that have a limited appetite for that stuff.
If the other parts of the game are lagging badly (and they are) and the solution is to just blast out some more carina challenge like stuff - we are going to be right back in the same place.
the game punishes you for being too casual as you said, be a sweaty endgame player and you'll be guaranteed to receive endgame content (which is good) or be a spendy beginner wholl lose interest in the game later on. the middle set of players who can't be bothered with fresh "sweaty" endgame content usually enjoy stuff like banquet and special monthly events. but now those rewards will be scattered to the winds. I'm calling it, eventually after a few months people will ask where the rewards went from lunar event and we'll get a 20 page document on the million places to was scattered across.

You seem to have forgotten the omega days style events that are extremely recent. Those aren't planned a year in advance I promise you that. The ONLY events that are planned that far ahead are July 4th cyber weekend banquet and spring cleaning. Anything else, spending or otherwise, are maybe a couple months ahead. If that.
I do think there is something to be said for having events that are just silly and fun like LNY. While I don't have any attachment to the specific event itself, I quite enjoy when we get events that are a break from the sweaty tryhardfests I have to grind through like showcase and pain/agony/woe. Stuff like the April fools' event, LNY, and the likes are a nice way to still feel rewarded for putting my time into the game while not having to lock in and put up fantastic mistake-free gameplay. I'm fine with them skipping it, but I really hope we don't depart from having fun nonserious mini events altogether
Crashed already provided the update we all wanted. Banquet was clearly an objective W - but perhaps it was a subjective L for you.
As we already knew, and have had confirmed numerous times, the loud and negative voices found on social media outlets are not an accurate reading for the thoughts and feelings of the majority.
Playing 10 years is not a reason to continue playing. At least not a good reason, in my opinion. You should continue playing if you continue to enjoy the game.
Where you've listed everything as an L, and are still stuck in your December 2024 emotive state - people recommending you quit, or take a break, is probably something you should consider. It doesn't sound like you enjoy the game anymore.

I do enjoy the game I just post a lot players frustrations are posted on lunar event and how the game has been running.
Frustrations here I’m still gona play the game and I look forward to the endgame content.
I even added how monthly event has been stake and a lot of rewards in the game in general.
I literally just made a reply where should we voice our concerns are so limited
I commented at it and you prob didn’t even see it
So I will quote it, im suprised its at 7 likes and no dislikes
Knowing you, you will auto dislike.
“ So where do you want feedback to come from?
Surveys? They already do that and those can take alot of time and volume already. If we all put in survey how we feel it would be the same
YouTubers? They voiced there concerns and those in community just like banquet event
Content creators? They give them feedback already, and look at champs like the leader who didn’t even get a buffed lol
People also voice there concerns in line chats but none of the people who work for kabam are there
and discord ? I’m pretty its the the same as forums people would still voice there concerns
It’s been years since Sigil was actually updated and now it’s here and they changed alot of good stuff to bad.
Like trading in gold for boost is not a thing now.
Cant even trade excess 5* shards for 6* shards, 1 step forward but also alittle step backwards aswel.
We ar going in baby steps.
DONT even get me started on a lot of events and rewards and outdated content in the game. Literally baby steps until we get new progress tier after valient lol”
You can read and hate over there also if you want, but this lunar post has 45 agrees and it’s been looked at by the kabam forum team with “member” on it.
But also majority agree on my sigil post so keep hating on my threads
All that “negative” feedback has been put to good used

Yes, Banquet did just happen - but its done and dusted. With a comprehensive report on whether it was a W or L. We've been given the answer. But you're dragging it back up to support another of your points - despite the fact what you think was an L, was objectively a W.
Monthly event needs a new difficulty tier. We all know that. Including Crashed - who in early Jan has already stated its high on his 2025 priority list. So that's been answered.
Feedback and whinging are very different things. What you'll find is that amongst the whinging, there is some actual, but limited, constructive feedback - and that is what Kabam will take action on. Difficult, because they have to sift through all the whinges to get to the good stuff.
Unfortunately, where the constructive feedback has proven beneficial, the whingers believe it was all their own doing - so they repeat the process for everything they don't like.

1. Players complain about each and every thing. Put out a post saying that a Balance Update will come out mid-January, and a ton of players will be angry that there is no Balance Update early-January. And if it is a few days later than mid-January, Players will be even angrier and demand compensation for the balance update not being released. 2. Plans change and development time changes. A ton of players treat a Roadmap as a bible that must be followed, rather than a general direction where there can be audibles. If anything deviates from the roadmap, then there are enough players who complain and demand compensation. 3. Players build up expectations on each and every bit of information that comes out, and when it invariably doesn't meet their overhyped expectations (that has built up for up to a year's time), they get angry and demand compensation. (See how angry people get when the Summoner's Choice champion, announced in Jan/Feb, doesn't meet whatever expectation they have created by September) 4. (Most) Players don't read official information that Kabam puts out, until it bites them in the butt. Sure, Kabam could be better at structuring essential information in easily findable places as opposed to be buried in a random reply in a random forum thread. But even for officially published information (both in-game and on the official website), there are a ton of players who complain that Kabam didn't provide them that information, and want compensation.
In essence - there are a ton of scenarios where there will be more players angry as a consequence of a published road map, compared to the players that will be happy that there is a published road map.
Side note: I do think a "puzzle" type road map is a good idea. Having players who are interested in figuring out what a clue means, is good player engagement. It shouldn't enrage players who aren't interested in figuring out the clue, and if the player's solution is wrong then they can't really be angry at Kabam for them getting the guess wrong.

just how is that not a promise or setting the expectation that the wish crystals will be coming out.
you really ignored the wish crystals in the webpage like you are imagining players ignoring the whole dev diary.
if they won't tell us about upcoming events, when then do they give us the number and class of upcoming characters (I am not sure if they have done it for this year) with the narrative road map, give us the titles of the event quest to decode to know what it is about.

1. that will always happen no matter the game but how does it apply to a roadmap. 2. the roadmap is not a bible for the players but for kabam and the dev team to make sure what will be ready for release by the expectations they give in the road map should be ready. if the players ask for a compensation because they didn't deliver by that time is something they would also have to consider when now locking themselves to that period. 3. what else would you have expectations from?. I know I'd still like to see bases and new masteries only because kabam has teased they would add them years ago. For me now compared to the game in the past year there is nothing to expect in the game unless it is something they have said e.g. deathless saga that would be for an entire year. 4. as many people have recently noticed, Kabam has been struggling with even putting out the information more accessible and easily. try to find the post on the side quest and it's a Easter egg hunt through all the websites and discord.
All in all the roadmap is just a suggestion and a recommendation to Kabam but it is up to them if they will ever want to implement it.

make it make sense
Expecting isn't promising. In fact, wish crystals are why we have selectors now. That road map says "in design". There's no actual date. They said it was a big project and ultimately later, they scrapped it. They didn't promise it was coming. They didn't say with "100% this will be implemented". You built it up in your head.
Unless there's hard date on there for release or it says complete, it's subject to change. But the community has a hard time knowing the difference. All they see is "wish crystals are coming and promised" when it says no such thing.

Any road map is subject to change. That's why it's a road map and not an itinerary.

but what else do you expect players to do when you promise to add something, give progress report and an estimated timeline and then just bail on it??

Kabam seems to be working in "Just In Time" mode which is reasonable since there's a new update every month which is a lot of work actually
But the reality is there is no road ahead, there is only Kabam road workers building the roads constantly giving you the false impression of an endless road ahead
Yes it might have been disappointing but it was definitely not stale.
as you said, be a sweaty endgame player and you'll be guaranteed to receive endgame content (which is good) or be a spendy beginner wholl lose interest in the game later on.
the middle set of players who can't be bothered with fresh "sweaty" endgame content usually enjoy stuff like banquet and special monthly events. but now those rewards will be scattered to the winds. I'm calling it, eventually after a few months people will ask where the rewards went from lunar event and we'll get a 20 page document on the million places to was scattered across.
I was talking about past events and events and banquet just happened lol
All that “negative” feedback has been put to good used
They won't tell you about upcoming events for the year because it might spoil character releases.
Its not hate, its just a different point of view.
(See how angry people get when the Summoner's Choice champion, announced in Jan/Feb, doesn't meet whatever expectation they have created by September)
Just another thing that’s been disappointing
just how is that not a promise or setting the expectation that the wish crystals will be coming out.
you really ignored the wish crystals in the webpage like you are imagining players ignoring the whole dev diary.
if they won't tell us about upcoming events, when then do they give us the number and class of upcoming characters (I am not sure if they have done it for this year) with the narrative road map, give us the titles of the event quest to decode to know what it is about.
make it make sense
2. the roadmap is not a bible for the players but for kabam and the dev team to make sure what will be ready for release by the expectations they give in the road map should be ready. if the players ask for a compensation because they didn't deliver by that time is something they would also have to consider when now locking themselves to that period.
3. what else would you have expectations from?.
Unless there's hard date on there for release or it says complete, it's subject to change. But the community has a hard time knowing the difference. All they see is "wish crystals are coming and promised" when it says no such thing.
If anything let’s see how 2025 banquet turns up to be then.
But I’m sure with all data and feedback they received it can’t go wrong right?
Again have hopes it will be better right?
But mayb we will see first r5 7* in 2025 there has to be a chased item and for big spenders to just spend
Just put everything into the daily super event so I don't have to click as much.
