Shocker or guardian. They’re both so fun and so useful. Guardian takes anything that can be shocked. Shocked takes everything else.

You really feel that way?
I get that it's not as elite as Mystic or Science, but I think it's full of very cool and very solid champs.

I can look at my Skill champs and think, I don't even want to R3 anyone here.

But when I look at Tech, I want to R3 most of them (more out of indulgence than necessity, but that still counts)

Sentinel= elite defender and attacker.
Zola = elite defender / super cool champ
Shocker = nuke attacker and elite defender in some metas
Red Skull/Arcada/Peni = good defenders and underrated attackers
IIM, Guardian, Warlock = solid two-way champs
Jack = nuke attacker
LDS / Mysterio / Hulkbuster / Shuri / IH / OS = none of them are necessary champs, but all are uniquely fun and offer very cool mechanics

OP, I would say Sentinel. He's elite in every way.
And as a bonus, he makes a very good night-light with the new Kabam bug.

I cannot get my hands around a feel for playing Shocker effectively. I've tried and tried and I just can't seem to get him to do anything for me.

He literally has one move. The SP2 5 second stun to charge and throw his heavy.

I mean, his fully charged heavy can do 500k-1 million damage with one hit, so I wouldn't say it's boring.
And there are some really nice aspects to his kit.
He doesn't throw any crits, so any node where you get punished for crits he's perfect.
Also immune to shock.
And he goes unblockable and has autoblock.
He's one of the best champs out there.

Arcade is fantastic if you learn to play him well on attack. Great defender if they have no cosmic attackers

I agree but OG Ironman not in the list is criminal.

What about OG IM. Ultron and sparky?? Tech class has so many champs that will be great R3s

Yeah, I didn't mean to imply the list was exhaustive. Too many fun techies to list. I like IMIW too personally.

Guardian is absolutely nightmarish when you get to round 3 in bgs. Can come in clutch in both attack and defence. When opponent has mutants or energy damaged champs(pretty common nowadays) or champs highly dependent on specials without being able to counter his auto block. My fav champ since his release, trust me and go for him

Depends on what you need…that Kang slaps with Apoc in quests/ incursion, but is pretty much useless in all other areas without that synergy.

BG and double threat?
Shocker, Guardian, Sentinel.

iDoom and IM are both good at what they do, no more Bishop issues.

Warlock is pretty good, but needs nodes to be fast enough in BG imo. Its been a long time since Warlock was in my deck.

IMIW and Arcade are good defenders, but 80-90% of the player base probably knows how to defeat them easily by now.

Guardian, Sentinel or Shocker would be my choice, probably Guardian since he’s duped.

Neither of us are top players, but you should take a look at the players on top of the leaderboard in BG this season…most of them got a max sig Guardian as their top 4 champ.

Exactly. He is good at celestial tiers sinc ehe is tanky and can't be nuked easily in 30 secs. But for regular players it isn't worthy to invest sigs on him and rank him up.
