Did kabam scrap the yearly Chinese new year event with the envelopes ect or was it just forgotten about lol ?

    I seen mid autumn festival event in other games so it's really up to the game developers what kind of events they want to create in an entire year

    LNY is a Chinese cultural festival, ithas nothing to do with Chinese government and their bad doings. Both are different things.

    It got postponed to next year or maybe the one after that, but it will eventually come, don't worry. Also we can't trust snakes so Kabam was cautious.

    although the shards and rank up mats was like 8-9 years late, we can get a solid amount of units from Lunar New Year event. So kinda sad we didn't have it this year

    When celebrating other cultures' big moments who gives a toss what your personal background means in it?

    You can choose to support because you want to spread the celebration and you really don't need a reason for it, the idea of culture is to be shared to multiple backgrounds and to learn about it.

    TL;DR
    You don't need a reason to celebrate something that means more to others than it does to you, culture is built to be shared ignoring background
