Kabam appreciation post

I’ve just finished reading the Dev Diary. And all I want to say is thank you Kabam.

I’m not going to say I myself have not joined in on the communities rants about the game being boring and the game modes (specifically battlegrounds) not being rewarding enough, but what I AM going to say is this is the kind of transparency and communication the community wants.

Its clear that people will still find reasons to cry about the upcoming changes to battlegrounds and other game modes, but it’s also clear that the game is going to be BETTER in comparison to how it is now. And that’s all we want. Beggars can’t be choosers, and if it means that battlegrounds, alliance events and the overall game will be fun, playable and rewarding, we are all for it and we look forward to these game fixing changes.

On a more serious note, there has been a bit of a stir up about recent champion reworks and buffs. There have been champion sales and deals (daredevil HK, Cyclopsand Lumatrix) BUT we still don’t know any details on their kits or the characters AT ALL. I myself have invested money into these upcoming champions and I would just like some reassurance that I haven’t wasted my money on champions that won’t be anything important.

If there’s any advice I could give, is to release details on champion reworks BEFORE starting sales. As ridiculous as that sounds it’s the best way to reassure people that these champs are worth their money.

Yet again, thank you @kabamcrashed for this insight and I personally look forward to enjoying the game again.

Also, what a coincidence that we get the "Dev Diary" right after they bring back the Revive Bundle in Store :|

Not trying to be pessimistic but do you know how many times this transparency still led to nothing? Yes they gave us more information on what's going but we don't even know what these changes will look like and there is always a chance it will be poorly executed just like everything else the past months.

Absolutely, I agree sometimes Kabam have been extremely transparent and it has lead controversial things. After reading the post in detail, the only POSSIBLE issue after these implementations will be GARUNTEED bugs. And just bugs. Other than that, the game will undergo an overall improvement especially in the competitive scene.

And for y’all that are saying “Stockholm syndrome” and “how do we tell him” I complain about issues a lot when it comes to this game, I know when the game is going to get better, or worse. Anyone who has developed games or software understands that. Y’all who are pessimistic about it just have to trust Kabam and let them follow through. There’s no need to be ignorant and complain about it before the update is even out. Just appreciate Kabam being transparent and telling us what they plan to do very soon

Maybe being here and seeing all this go down, and afterwards telling us it are just bugs. All the time, Lying and deceiving. We can't do anything.

It's rabies. The mind is gone already. Give him a glass of water already.

Not necessarily just bugs, they could easily screw up the Radiance store and if that happens BGs will still be in a bad place. From what I understood this will be a store meant for people who grind BGs and will be sort of a replacement to a BGs store update. There are ways they can screw this up, it's not just bugs.

I think the thing everyone is saying, is that it’s one thing for kabam to say nice things and maybe do one or two nice things. But it’s massively overshadowed by all the bad things they do. They aren’t doing stuff about other things that matter a great deal to the community. Focusing on the nice things isn’t needed. Because it’s so small in comparison to the bad things.

It’s like someone kicking your ass, and then taking your money. And then giving you flowers the next day as an apology (using your money). And then repeating the cycle. Some people might focus on the flower giving. Most others will focus on the ass being kicked

Yes you can look at one thing and say “oh that’s nice, they gave us 7 revives for nightmare raids.” But really…how many revives are actually needed for everyone to finish this badly designed content within this bug ridden game…they put crush and unstoppable on the boss, knowing full well there’s an issue with intercepts? “

Just…stop putting out content that plays into the bugs you can’t or haven’t fixed yet….is it that hard to do? To NOT do something? To not add a line of code that says “crush, unstoppable, unblockable….can we stop having content designed by some sort of candy pick n mix method…can we have it designed based on the current state of the game? Is that too much to ask?
