I predict spending to trend upwards, not down.

I remember the calls to boycott when 12.0 dropped and yet 2017 went on to be the most successful year for the game, I think this year will be no different.

History has a strange way of repeating itself.

    After 12.0, Kabam still acted. Sent out massive compensation packages, gave everyone rank down tickets etc; After that, the game went into a great direction for a while, also explaining the spike in revenue. Remember that 12.0 was early 2017, hardly representative for the entire business year.

    I have all the anniversary titles to prove I've been here since 2015 lol people like to blow 12.0 out of proportion just because of Seatin's video. Again, not denying it was a big deal but it definitely wasn't bigger than this, we didn't put Kabam on a tight spot like we just did on Friday. They didn't even revert anything they did, on Friday we literally forced them to revert something before it even went live.

    Boycotting was a big deal in 12.0. just so much has happened since then. I was a leader among many leaders in the fray of it, even helped with some of the letters and dialogue. Kabam is just always true to their nature, it will work, but the best predictor of future behavior, is past behavior, there will be more. Everything kabam has been involved with, in terms of games, has resulted in boycotting, even Need for Speed, in which they ultimately abandoned the game at the end.

    I hope to start spending again down the road and I hope there is a course correction. I don’t think Kabam is jumping to action because of an immediate loss of tons of spenders…. Kabam’s biggest concern at the moment is the long term effect of a bunch of players who aren’t plugged into the game community daily coming across these videos. If they affirm what they were already thinking, that’s a problem. That can snowball into a whole of spending decisions on a large scale down the road that can’t be foreseen.

    That's a wise decision, every now and then I wonder if I'm enjoying this game or is it just a force of habit to pick it up like I do with social media, and before phones it was checking the fridge too often, that kind of thing

    12.0 was more vocal. Also, that was on the old forums. YouTube content creators weren't as prominent and out spoken but the forums community and twitter were. The fact that everyone can remember 12.0 and hardly remember the other " boycotts" is a sign. You only have one or two threads on this.

    Back then, it was all anyone could talk about. It's barely being talked about right now here in the forums. So they aren't the same. 12.0 changed the fundamentals of the game. This is just boycotting for not liking some things in the game.

    It may have been more vocal on forums and Twitter but it didn't bring together all ccs like this did, the only one boycotting the whole thing was Seatin as far as I can remember. Also, there were more than two threads on this and all of them had a good amount of replies with one of them having page after page full of rage, and the reason the threads stopped is because we already got a reply from Kabam the same day and they reverted the scoring system before it even went live, none of this happened with the 12.0 boycott back then I don't even remember them acknowledging anything they just ignored everyone.

    Again I'm not saying it wasn't a big deal nor am I claiming the changes were insignificant, I'm just saying that one boycott didn't bring together literally every single relevant cc the way this just did.

    I don't even think its a matter of the nono word Boycott at this point. That word was bastardized on this community cause they tried to use it so many times. At this point I do believe that some content creators finally expressed something we all felt already. I haven't had a wish to spend for a while, as well as others.
