Game sentiment from a spender and what's next....

Buzerk1969Buzerk1969 Member Posts: 90 ★★
Recently we got an outrage from BG top tier players and RAIDs players.

I'm not a content creator; I'm not the best player in the game but I get through most content and there are aspects of the game I refuse to do as they were not made for casual players or low participation alliance. So I don't do AW and I don't RAIDs, these two game modes only make sense in organized Alliance and sidetrack casual players (Kabam Crash actually made me cringe when he talked about casual players, it would be interesting he explains what casual players are).

I have been playing for 10 years now, I do spend on the game, more then I should, more on that later. My main account is Valiant and I have 2 other account that are both Paragon. 162 7*, 2xR4, 50xR3

Anyhow, here's my take. When I pay for something, I expect something in return, for a game, I expect fun, fun challenge and a stable, consistent game play. See, I am quite reasonable. For those that doesn't want to read, I'm done sending money to Kabam, call it boycott or what even you want, I'm not getting what I pay for.

Toxic, the game has become more and more frustrating and toxic (and I don't do RAIDs).

Bugs, bugs and more important the priority Kabam puts on them:
We have seen it time and time again, if a bug impacts Kabam bottom line, it gets fix fast they push out fixes. If it impacts game play, we get the typical answer, well, you know, it's a complicated game, it will take time, we are working it. And then silence. And that's when they admit there's a problem.

Intercepting
For months, intercepting has been hazardous, just happen the recent end game boss need to be intercepted in the final phase. But everywhere in the game, In BG, to get parry on a dash in typically means you lost. And Kabam internal posture is probably, well both get the same bug, so it even out at the end. NO IT DOESN'T it is TOXIC. It's in Incursion where revive and healing cost is atrocious.

5 revives for Ares, 5!! And the bug they were compensating for isn't fix either... TOXIC

Today it's intercepting, yesterday something else, there is always something, the game play is not stable. Bugs are not a feature, they are TOXIC

Game crash
The game crashes all the time, nothing like getting the game crash as you load a fight in Incursion, and because Kabam in their infinite wisdom decided to punish exiting with 50% health drop when you quit a fight in Incursion, well 50% health down because of a crash... TOXIC... where is the compensation!!! When are you going to fix this!!! I can see one of the moderators asking video or bug report, well I'm not one of your testers, I actually give you money for a stable game, remember. Asking me for this = TOXIC.

Monthly update rigged with bugs
Every month, I mean literally in the last year or so, every monthly update have been adding more issues then it fixed, content creators are joking about it, but it's not funny. It is frustrating, it is... yes you guess it is TOXIC.

I could go on and on, but you all get it, Kabam tell us they care, I'm more interested in a real demonstration, actions, results that they actually care about us, no words, actions.

Game Meta & Nodes

Nodes
It came up in the recent RAIDs, nodes are pages long, I mean who though this was ok as a user experience, I don't play on a PC, I don't play on an iPad, I play on a freaking iPhone14... By the time you get to the last node effect you forgot the first one. I get it, from a developpement point of view, they just stack them, seems easier (even though we have seen conflicting effect from doing this) but from a user point of view it is TOXIC, I don't read them anymore, I go in and just find out playing my may through.

BG ecosystem
The current rewards structure encourage point farming and from what I have seen with my 2 smaller accounts, it is rampant at the moment. I don't blame the players, they are probably stuck in alliance asking for a minimum and if they want to stay and get the big rewards, then farming it is. I don't have the answer for this one, I try to do my part and get my main account out of VT as fast as possible, but I don't get rewarded for doing so, it would actually be easier, smarter to wait on the last few days to climb VT and again that's what I see happening with my smaller account. TOXIC, very TOXIC. While Kabam is listening to top tier BG players, they don't seem to understand, BG as a decease and rewards is not the only think killing this game mode.

The Farming, the exploits, the node selection, the rewards... not just the rewards for the top tier.

In conclusion
I'm Canadian (hence CrazyCanuck) and I could use less toxicity in my life right now, so I'm done sending money to Kabam. As fellow Canadians, I would like to say elbow up to Kabam, but right now it's a big thumbs down. Don't know if I will continu to play the game... next few months will be decisive.

    Seriously :o :

    toxic (adjective)

harmful or dangerous to health or life when taken into the body; poisonous:
"the dumping of toxic waste" · "toxic chemicals" · "alcohol is toxic to the ovaries"
relating to or caused by poison:
"toxic hazards" · "toxic liver injury"

very harmful or unpleasant in a pervasive or insidious way:
"a toxic relationship" · "staff created a toxic work environment" · "in the last couple of years the atmosphere has turned toxic"
The game isn't literally killing you. If it is, seek help, seriously. Also, you don't work for or with kabam so how exactly can that have any effect on your health or relationship? Did you even read the definitions? Your using a word to create atmosphere. That word doesn't work here.

Well the relationship with Kabam and the game is becoming toxic, I did use the right word in the right context.

Are you happy with the current state of the game? Instead of arguing on semantic, answer that question.

I am perfectly happy. Then again I have only spent maybe 100 bucks total ouf ot 10 years. I am not saying the game is perfect and yes there are bugs but to say it's become toxic is a stretch.

I did use the word to create an atmosphere, I did reuse it over an over to amplify it and yes, whether you like it or not, you too are in a business relationship with Kabam by playing their game.

So you want to talk semantic, or you want to talk about the state of the game.

See. we are in agreement, we shouldn't pay for what we get, not worth it.

And you also seem to enjoy all the issues and bugs I listed, again, good for you.

It's quite literally all semantics because some day kabam will decide this game ain't worth it anymore and close it down and all the money and time you spent here will be gone for nothing.

I never said that. I just choose to spend my money on more important things in life than a video game.

It's entertainment money, not an investment, the money is already gone, I had my money worth in the past, not anymore. Same thing as going to the movie Theater, going out in a fancy restaurent, you know, you pay for something and you get something in return. The money is gone and if Kabam doesn't care enough this game to fix, them yes, they should wrap it up and terminate it.

I don't think you can end a toxic relationship bu cutting off money, poor people have toxic relationships too ..

OP used TOXIC 12 times, which, coincidently, is the exact same number Britney Spears uses TOXIC in her song entitled Toxic from 2003.

If this is true, it is an amazing and hilarious “fun fact”.

It is true, unless you count when she uses intoxicating, in which case she uses toxic 14 times.

And while I agree, there was some points that op brought up, I thought this random trivia was far more important.
