Considering the rarest and most needed with lots of utilities, whom to ascend and a must!

    I would hold off on ascending anybody until after all the heart of fire champs are announced, cause that will drastically change your decision

    Ascend who will make your team better now. Nevermind who is 7*s unless you already own them. As you get further along it is kinda nice to have a 6r5a version of certain 7*s. Especially in the crucible, and it gets you familiar with play styles and who you may like once you do hit on that 7*.

    Having those ascended 6* you like playing for the time being is fun in my opinion. I had a 6r5a onslaught for almost 7 months before getting the 7* and then slowly ranked him to r3. Having them both has helped in certain content as well.

    So like a 6r5a Sinister could help you tremendously. Or Serpent/Photon etc…

    I only chose Doom because he does alot in early game story stuff if thats the focus.

    This is very good advice. Especially for people like me who don't always feel like learning a new champ, having a max sig ascended 6* and unawakened 7 of the same champ is not a terrible idea.

    Anything else is just you marching yourself with inevitable future heartbreak.

    As someone who was playing a little too casually and missed out on the 7* version, I could not be happier with my r5, ascended, sig 200 Mr Sinister.

    He’s more than capable of handling any story content, is a beast for incursions & AQ, and can still hang fairly well in BG’s.

    Doom or CGR, but ONLY because you gonna use the hell out of them both, and neither is gonna be a 7* any time soon, if ever. probably best return on investment for you.
