victory shields in GC?

hi kabam, I'm planning to push a couple more points up in gc today to lock in a decent amount of radiance.
to do this I planned to buy and use some victory shields (I'm particularly unlucky with AI lol), but once I had bought them, they didn't show up in my inventory nor did they show up in the battlegrounds main & matchmaking screen.
im not sure if his is a bug or you cannot use victory shields In gc, but if that is true they should still show up in my inventory so please confirm this for me, and if possible refund my trophy tokens ಠ‿↼
