Dear Kabam, if no one has told you, not every new content needs to be more difficult than the last. I'm sorry. It's as simple as that.
You absolutely do not need to top your last monstrosity. You can create "Challenging Content" yes but all of these Endgame quests are challenging enough that they absolutely do not need to get systematically worse every release.
Your game does not need to be able to be completed only by the people who have bought every champion you have sold for the last 2-3 years.
The content you release does not need to get progressively worse.
Over the last 2 years you have created defenders that LIMIT the amount of champions who work against them. Out of about 300 champions let's round them off to about 6-10 champions who work well per meta defender. These defenders have kits that are so restrictive that they cannot be taken by your average champion. Add nodes to the equation, that is more than difficult content already add the need that we need counters to them at a 7star rarity. That is difficult content enough that you can milk for the next year.
There is absolutely no REASON on this planet why I should need champions who fulfill certain tags which limit the number of champions WHO ACTUALLY DO THE DEFENDERS WELL from 6 all the way down to 2. I should not have to die because I do not have a mister sinister.
At the end of the day, this is a game. I should not have to watch 1 hour guides because I want to play an mcoc quest. I should not have to rely on spreadsheets because I want to plan for a quest. We play this game to relax at the end of the day.
It is perfectly fine to make challenging content which you have already done by creating these defenders why add so many barriers and restrictions to the champions who can do them. An example is quest 2 bullseye, none of the options are bullseye counters only ones there are dazzler who needs high sig and cyclops who literally CANNOT SURVIVE the entire fight at max sig LITERALLY. This is just not good in any way.
Your players should not have to be ranting on the forums when they see these types of content. Also, quick shout out to the guy who designed ares, despite mixed reviews from the players that was THE BEST BOSS I have ever faced. With ONLY 3 champion slots I did not have to look in my roster and make my quest lanes more difficult by searching for who worked best against ares because ares could be done by every champ. Ares was challenging but enjoyable in my opinion. This may not be the same for other players but apart from the rewards Ares specifically was the main reason I wanted to go back into epoch after every lane I completed despite the fact that i did not enjoy the fact that one hit could kill me in the final phase.
Back to the topic, players do not enjoy 3 hr content, we really don't. You need to listen more. NOT EVERY NEW CONTENT NEEDS TO BE MORE DIFFICULT, UNFAIR AND RESTRICTIVE THAN THE LAST.
We can also talk about how y'all "do not want to widen the gap between spenders and non-spenders" but that exactly what y'all have been doing the ENTIRE YEAR. But I don't want to make this thread longer than it needs to be.

So yes, defenders have to be "harder" but I think at this point Kabam has blown the power adjustment so far out of the water. Like they have adjusted content to our current power level, but they continually adjusted the levels to which content ascends above a simple power-leveling so much that now it's just insane. Of course the game is going to get more complicated, but it's just so out of hand now.
In my opinion, LOL, the abyss, and necro have all felt like a similar level of difficulty according to the power levels of champs available at the time. This is why that content is great, it's a consistent level of difficulty that the player base enjoys and feels is approachable since they have done it before. Now suddenly, with WOF, they have raised the bar so high it no longer feels approachable to most players at all. Even if I tried to do WOF, there is no way I could do it, but even Necro, which still took a lot of revives, felt more possible--although difficult--I could still do it because there were so much less restrictions.
TLDR; the game doesn't even feel balanced to the state of the game anymore, it just feels way more difficult than what most people can actually do.
