Thoughts on the heatwave

How does everyone feel about the heatwave deals both the unit and the money

People say deals are meh are usually the people who don’t spend.
Again people don’t want people to get ahead?
Then we have forums where people say people have stack bg rosters but those people who have big accounts spend a lot of money to get a big roster.
There’s literally no points owning 5+ r4 7* unless you are going for high placements in battlegrounds season.
This sale just push’s more r4’s into bg’s
Next year July 4th just makes me think it’s going to be
42,000 to 45,000 units for next 7* thats gated lol.
Rinse and repeat we will be here again for cyber deals and people will be disappointed and we gonna star lt saying save for banquet!! Then get disappointed again and start the r5 7* chase in 2026.
But in terms of money, I rather buy something else like Switch 2 than 7* human torch
Small spenders and FTP players can't compete with whales anymore by now
The challenge is to still have things for low/mid-spenders to feel rewarded by. I ultimately spent 4K units but decided against picking up any of the cash offers. I'm fairly happy with that but I can see why people might have some issues with the value of the cash offers.
I think a problem with the current system is that the big cost increases between the various offers makes buying single cash offers (especially if the bonus rewards in there are not insane) a whole lot less tempting. I was initially eyeing a Tony Stark's Briefcase, but since I was down under 1K units after picking up the first two offers and thus had about 6K units to go before I could pick up the third, a TSB wouldn't have moved the needle for me. Even buying all four in order to get an additional Nexus crystal (or an Odin, which would have amounted to pretty much the same) wouldn't have gotten me to the third offer. As such, you quickly lose the incentive to buy single - even big - cash offers. That's why I prefer the Cyber Weekend structure. There, buying a smaller cash offer can actually give you enough units to pick up another offer. You still need to buy a truck load of Odins to pick up all of the offers, but the barrier of entry per offer isn't astronomical. You can double up on the smaller offers, which makes picking up just one or two of the lower-tier cash offers a whole lot more tempting since they can easily provide you with enough units to buy an additional unit offer.
Any one in my position whaling out now will have 12 r4 champs.
Also, the ratio of r4 in cash deals to unit deals is 3:2.
I call this an unfair advantage. bordering on a shake down.
Furthermore it cheapens the effort of gaining r4s up to this point. Any newly made valiant can acquire everything I worked my ass off to get for 800 bucks.
And this is mainly because r4s didn’t receive a new progression title.
The fact there’s no actual value in 30k units unless you purchase deal #8 is another atrocity.
For real, 30k units are a 4 month arena grind and what you get for it is essentially one champ out of a selector, 1 awakening gem, and 3 t7b. Atrocious.
