My first mystic R4

I am looking to fill out my R4 roster, and I am just missing a mystic champ. I have several great options that I am considering, but would love some extra input. I am looking to expand my roster for high tier war (plat 1 trying to push masters) and BGs. I am leaning Juggs or Chavez. I just love playing Chavez and she has come in clutch for me so many times. Juggs would be incredible, but I feel like the R4 is just asking to get banned every match in BGs 😂. Tigra would be great…but I’m still learning how to play her and am not super confident with her. Let me know what y’all think!

    They are all great options, but I’m in agreement of choosing who you prefer to play most. I personally like Kushala and Chavez

    Always go with who you love playing and feel most comfortable with! 😎

    I would go with kushala, because I'm super comfortable with her, and I hate chavez personally, but if you love chavez and you're that comfortable with her that's your girl right there. 💪

    Are you a meta rat? Otherwise, You have 12 r4s already if you want you can r4 someone else cool, like Wiccan or hood or cow.

    Or if you wanna rank up someone from this bunch then definitely Chavez she still slaps and one of the few mystics who work outside countering cosmics

    I should probably follow my advice I give people and pick who I love playing 😂

    Cow is a fun shout! Hood would probably be my choice if I had him, I love his playstyle and think he is super underrated. I will keep my Wiccan opinion to myself 😅.

    Thanks for the input y’all, especially @captain_rogers for making it a tough call between cow and Chavez, but I ended up going with Chavez. I use her every day and I love playing her. Always love reading people’s thought processes on here and its super helpful!

    I had the same decision and ultimately went with Juggs, no regrets at all.

    Tigra requires skill
    Kushala is fine at R3, friend didn’t see a huge difference
    Chavez, I’m just not a huge fan but she’s good
    Purg I have R2 unduped, like her but not great at using her

    That said:
    Juggs, for me…
    Unblockable momentum, easy rotation, pretty much takes any class but longer fights with mystics.

    I ran TB eq with him just to see and he pretty much bulldozed everything. But the key for me is when he hits 10 unstoppables and drops his r2, with crit, he decimates and the rotation is so easy it’s not even fair.

    Unlike others, thanks for putting context about your needs and not making it a flex post.

    I would say Kush as she have lot of weapons in her arsenal which makes her good for AWA and BGA. Outside of that she is incredible for story and endgame content. One parry and she can start blocking unblockable attacks. Great damage and easy to use. Definitely a champ who can bring a lot without much efforts

    Glad you didn't R4 Diablo - don't do it.. the game becomes too easy afterwards

    Glad you started this thread, OP! I'm facing the same dilemma. I also have to contend with a sig 140 Hood in my roster. Will keep any eye out on this post to see who you finally decided to rank up.

    Hood was my first mystic R4, so heartily agree. Particularly if you can get him to around 125 sig. Enjoy your Chavez though - she is great!

    So.. the dupe is really good
    There's kind of an argument for it being kind of "mandatory" whether using Recoil or not
    Firstly, he's significantly better with Recoils.. specifically Recoil plus MD 5 (which is how I use him).. so that's definitely something to understand when deciding to invest in him
    Is he still great without Recoil?.. absolutely, but it's night and day difference
    A good compromise is use him without in BGs (as we cannot separate masteries) and use him with Recoil in AW.. he's legitimately insane on War attack if fully invested (high sig/Recoil/MD5)

    But.. all is to say that without Recoil, he benefits a lot from the attack portion of the sig ability
    With Recoils he benefits a lot from the defensive portion of the sig ability

    Short answer: yes, I still think he's great unawakened, but just know his full potential= Recoil/MD/High Sig

    Faced with a similar conundrum, I went with Tigra for mystic R4. The only dupe I didn’t have of the champs listed was Purgatory, and I don’t use mine at all.

    My Tigra however is L200, and while I can’t say I’m at the level of some of the YouTubers who do amazing things with her, I like to think I’m a solid B Tiger player who occasionally hits A- status.

    But realistically any of the choices were can’t miss.

    Purgatory is my go-to for Raids. No regrets taking her to R3.

    The more I play Purgatory, the more I like her!! I'm debating on the same issue. Its between Purgatory, Chavez, Cow & Mojo (if I can finally dupe him!). Mojo is a sneaky attacker & decent defender.
