Have they said whether we will be using our relic shards on the new upcoming relics? I have these saved up and was wondering if I should open or save???

    Unless I missed it, I don’t think they’ve said one way or the other. I’m hoping they provide an update on the Wednesday stream

    I feel like it’s a new mechanic/crystal. People have tried to ask and they won’t say. I get keeping secrets and releases but this is def one of those things that would’ve been nice to know to save

    I know right, unless it's still being decided whether it should be new type of shards or not, I don't see why it should be a secret. Maybe they don't wat to devalue the july 4th relic deals by saying anything

    Relics have been irrelevant since they got added. Besides being required for story content they have no other use than to extend your combo. Hoping these next relics have significant boosts

    It’s always about money with this company…

    I just hope we get some info in the stream at least. I just wanna know if it’s gonna be the same crystal or not. That way I can start saving

    Just one example to completely put that statement to rest would be the black widow relic that literally gives crossbones a precision for every single thing he fails

    That's exactly why they haven't said, because they have the Reliquary $99 unit offer for this sale.

    You've obviously never used the black widow relic with black cat or the venom relic with venom or the juggs relic with juggs. You pair the right relic with the right champ they absolutely make a difference.

    They've said it was a possibility of everything being new. Hopefully we'll find out tomorrow, but I would guess at the end of July:

    Honestly if they decide to monetize a new wave of relica and make the old shard useless, its gonna be the last straw.for me.

    It is crazy they are selling items they don’t have a clear future for. I can whale, but I won’t whale that.

    Those are just deals for prestige seekers.

    If I had to guess, the new relics will be completely different. They may not have the striker component, they may not affect prestige. If the latter is true, there may be a subset of players who still want to r3 and max sig the existing pool of relics.

    Keep em saving. Maybe open a bank account and keep em there.
    New ones will come with new acquisition. Old shards ain't going to be helpful.
