Science Showdown: Spider-Woman vs. Nefaria

Curious to see others thoughts on both these champs. Uniquely different, but in similar wheelhouses. Where do you see both of these champs placing in their respective class within the next 6 months of the contest or so?
Spider-Woman continues to elude me, and I'm trying to convince myself to either wait for her, or take the plunge with Nefaria (who I have to say I haven't used nearly as much as I thought I would, but that's just how the AW plans/BG drafts have worked out), sig investment and all.

Look at her, she so Lovely 💕 literally did EPOCH path and dumped sigs into her.
I have r3 unduped photon as well. But as I did EPOCH and pulled a science gem I'm going to awaken him cause he's awsome as well. A powerhouse
No Disrespect to Spider Woman, She is OP!
But, When it comes to utility, combined with Damage & Survivability, Nefaria wins
Jessica isn't without her utility either, but she's a lot of fun, big damage that bypasses safeguard, and hard counters Enchantress. Tack on the furies, shocks, and poison immunity, she's great. As with most of the top-end science champs, you can pick one and run with them and not feel bad about the rank up.
Loving mine so good
But...I totally love Spiderwoman. Doing a cartwheel kick on her Medium dash attack? Gives me the same rush as Doom's heavy slap.
Spiderwomen is awesome, but I think she's little overhyped rn, let's see if thehype stays even after few months.
Outside bgs, I believe nefaria and luke gotta be the best science champs thanks to their utility.
Second, both are bangers. Nefaria is a Swiss Army knife of a champ, but slow. Spider woman has very specific utility ambht the damage and speed needed for BG.
My nefaria is sig 200 and r4,
My spider gal is sig 21 (awakened her then duped from the gift nexus smh) and r3, and will receive r4 eventually.
What I like about him the most is that he gets supercharged by power gain and regen, which makes him extremely versatile. If you look at the different classes, Mystics tend to have a lot of passive power gain, which fuels him. Meanwhile, Cosmics tend to have power gain buffs, which also just fuel him. Even if they don't have power gain buffs, chances are that they still regen in one way or another. Mutants aren't as definied by their ability to regen a lot as they used to be, but there are still a lot of regen happening in that class and chances are that we'll see the soon-to-be-buffed X-23 continue that trend if they keep that aspect of her kit intact.
But more importantly, he just feeds on two of the most-used masteries out there: Mystic Dispersion and Willpower. As soon as MD kicks in, he basically goes into overdrive and begins to both deny any power given to his opponent while gaining a lot of it for himself. Similarly, every champion with Willpower will start to heal when he places those non-damaging debuffs on them, and he'll deny that health, gain some himself, and possibly even reverse that regen against them. Both of these masteries makes him excellent in PvP content. He's not the fastest in non-ideal BG matches, but if either the defender or the node somehow fuel him, he will be a great attacker. I once had a match where I mistimed a dex against a Werewolf-by-Night and by the time I stood up after getting knocked down by his special, I'd already healed back to full. I laughed out loud at that.
I did a more thorough deep dive into the Count in another thead. I don't want to just repeat what I said there in this thead, but I'll leave a link for whoever might be interested.
The first two sections are about all of his immunities and resistances. He has five of those - complete immunity to bleed and power steal, a constant 90% resistance to shock and incinerate, and up to 90% resistance to degeneration based on ionic charges (up to 100) - coupled with insane physical and energy resistance once his ionic charges start to build up.
The last two sections are about his regen. He has a really beefy regen on his SP1 if there are enough energy build-ups on the opponent. Furthermore, if he's awakened, he passively regenerates the health that he denies to his opponent.
All of these things make for a very chonky boy.

The only thing they have that is similar is their class. 🤣
On the next comparison post maybe we can compare Odin to Serpent who are "in a similar wheelhouse", because they're both cosmic. Haha
Clearly based on the pictures posted, I'm meant to hold this r4 for the time being. Now....Shathra, Sentinel, or hold for Solvarch?
As for shathra, sentinel or hold for solvarch, that's a tough call.
Sentinel is obviously an absolute tank that there are very few champs that can nuke him and he's a dual threat.
Shathra can take most champs, but is only really an offensive champ, but damn both are great....
Solvarch, well so far we just know he looks cool. Haha
