Blacklists should be dropped before they are being introduced

This is clearly a pro - whale move. Imagine not being able to use a champ for entire month. Whales can rank up other options easily but ftp/casuals will suffer, especially if, let's say dthanos is blacklisted and he is your only r4(totally possible).
And whitelists, what kind of players can rank up champs just for one season, yes you're right, whales
If they want to make stuff competitive, then implement blacklist/whitelist above mysterium. I don't remember a single soul asking for this and I know it's early to hate something that's not even released, but the cons are too heavy for this one.

There's already so many insanely annoying defenders roaming around with minimal counters, lower rated/FTP/unlucky players can just ban those defenders, what about players who don't own the whitelisted defender or if a good attacker/counter is blacklisted for the entire season, its just really annoying and unnecessary addition to bgs, its absolutely fine and makes sense in war but bgs does not need a more stressful addition, point decay is already going to be interesting but that makes sense considering the current state of bgs.
This also just makes ranking champions more tedious because you never know which champion is going to be banned which makes r4 and r3 decisions more annoying. What do you guys think about this?

Of course, I say in theory because none of this really matters if the blacklist isn’t used smartly and I’m not exactly counting on that being the case. But I am willing to be cautiously optimistic about it until Kabam actually f’s it up in practice.

You could hear on the stream, the developer (sorry, forgot his name) mention Bullseye like 20 times.
I think the biggest question is how many champs go on the list? If it's 3 or so I think most people will be fine taking a break from some combination of the normal bans every other season. If it's more than that it could be annoying.
Let's say they ban Yelena Zola and Dark Phoenix, you most likely already have Serpent Photon Onslaught Enchantress etc ranked up. Also, whales already have these defenders ranked up anyways, blacklisting won't be a bad thing as long as they're banning the tough newest champs only whales have access to. Now if hey banned Serpent Photon and Enchantress and left Yelena Zola and Dark Phoenix unbanned then that would be a problem but I doubt they'll do that, we'll have to see.
I'd much prefer see a shift to how drafting and bans are done rather than a whitelist / blacklist.
- Increase to the deck size.
- Increase to the total drafted champions.
- Standard pre-draft bans remain (maybe drop these to two instead of three).
- One ban added to the middle of the draft.
- One additional ban if the match gets to round three - this would clearly be a ban of the remaining drafted champions.
I know it would make the draft stage longer, but I feel like it would add some layered strategic planning to BGs that we don't really see.I also don’t see any world where mid-match bans make things more strategic rather than less; you’re telling me I gotta save TWO counters for each defender ready in my draft in case I hit round 3 and my opponent bans the only counter I have to their defender? I understand this suggestion is concurrent with one that suggests increasing the number of drafted champs but I don’t like the idea of having to pick multiple Serpent counters just on the off-chance I get to round 3 and my opponent wisely bans my one counter, except in having two Serpent counters in my draft I’ve got less room to do the same with my opponent’s Bullseye or Zola so I haven’t actually escaped the situation unless I do this with EVERY defender the opponent drafts.
