Does the game accept purchases via giftcards?

I would specifically like an employee to respond to me but if there has been anyone with experience relevant to this then I'd appreciate your advice.

I purchased a GOOGLEPLAY giftcard "ONLINE" worth £82 last night. That was my first time doing so as I just recently discovered what giftcards are and how they work.

Wanted to pay for something with it after I bought it and received the code, I then attempted to redeem it but I got prompted with a "needs more info" error message. After going online and finding out other people experienced the same issue and with no means of it getting resolved, I proceeded to email both Google and the online store I got it from. I've sent out MULTIPLE emails and complains and still none of them have been responded to.

My question is, is there a way I can make online purchases with the giftcard in the game. Does the game take Google giftcards? Im asking because there is ABSOLUTELY nothing else on playstore I would use my money on and if worst comes to worst and I can't get refunded, it would be nice to have some form of pre-paid money that I could use on here.
I would not be so bothered about my refund and would probably be a bit more patient about the situation if I could use the giftcard on the game cos its absolutely worthless elsewhere.

If anyone has any relevant advice to the situation please help.
Its a large amount of money that I could've used elsewhere thats been spent with nothing to show for it.

    The most annoying part is Google doesn't even have a customer care line so im going to most likely be stuck with automated messages.
    Just ridiculous.

    Basically, I am unable to redeem the code. I would wait for a response with no panic and anger IF I was sure that I could actually use the giftcard IN THE FUTURE if it is unredeemable now.

    Because if worst comes to worst and I am not refunded and I can't use it on here, if I can't use it in the game, id have wasted that money because id literally have nothing im interested in to buy from google

    I only have experience with iTunes gift cards. If you have them loaded on your iPhone, you can use the to make purchases in the game.

    This would be the way. The game doesn't accept gift cards directly. You'd have to add a Google Play card to your Google Play account and then use your Google Play balance to purchase stuff in game.
    Xsolla also let's you use several different gift cards, though I am not sure which ones they specifically take.

    Well here's to hoping you didn't get ripped off. I can't understand any reason why the code wouldn't work if you've paid for the card already.

    Not sure I fully understand your question, but in Google Play you just go to payments & subscriptions, redeem code, enter the gift card number, and then whatever is on the gift card is now in your Google Play account and can be used for any Google Play purchases, including MCoC.

    I'm worried you got scammed then. Since it's $82, it sounds like it's a used one. Can you verify the balance at all? Where did you buy it from?

    Cropped image because the giftcard code was there.
    This image is what I was shown last night when the problem happened. I clicked on the link which is where my first complaint to Google came from.


    This image is from a few hrs ago basically saying random error.


    I wasn't scammed because when I click on redeem code, it tells me exactly how much money I would be redeeming which is accurate to what I spent. The problem starts after that screen which Is this screen I've shown.

    I'd be messaging recharge about your issue. Something isn't right here.

    I like to call myself pretend ftp. Where I spend nothing but gifts to me seem to be gift cards, so they become gifts to kabam.

    That error message on the play store comes up when the card isn't activated yet. Usually, when you buy online, the card takes approximately 3 days to be activated. It is to give the supplier a bit of time for the money to clear so you can't buy the card use the value then just stop the payment. It is a little more effort to go through the bank for a refund then just cancel the payment and being a gift card once used the company can't take it back.

    That is what it always is with me so hopefully same for you as I haven't used that particular site just others.

    I used to buy Google gift cards all the time from the grocery store, add 20, 30 bucks to the weekly grocery bill and stack the cards for specials sales and stuff. The only time I had an issue similar to yours was when I tried to claim one 2 times.
    I am asking where you bought it cause I have no experience with online google gift cards, just wondering if it was a reputable place or there is a chance you might have been scammed. The ammount is odd too.

    Mayne OP made the mistake of picking the wrong location for the gift card to be used?
    I know some gift cards have this stupid thing where you gotta match the zip code of the place of purchase sometimes.

    Nowhere on the website did they mention anything about it taking 3 days to active or anything about needing activation time.

    Infact, one of their main selling points was that, immediately I purchased it, I would get my confirmation code and be ready to redeem within 30 seconds of payment. Immediately I paid for it, I was deducted so they didn't waste time taking the money. There was no clarification if I had to wait for it or now.

    I really do hope that it ends up working because I am genuinely feeling like I have been ripped off. I don't think I will every purchase a gift card ever again after this incident.

    Yh the thing I wanted to purchase was a bit above £81 and with recharge.com you can customize but only to a whole number so I bought one of £82.

    why would you purchase a gift card from Google Play for use solely on mcoc instead of directly funding your Google Play account or purchasing directly from in game store? If you were given/ gifted/ found/ were "sold" a legitimate one then enter the account number and activation code. If the activation code doesn't work, find out why it doesn't or you're SOL.

    Now, if you procured an "£82" valued card from someone for less than face value, I would suggest you learn from your mistakes.

    Its not a mcoc issue it looks like that's a Google issue
