Everest content and progression

Hi everyone, as someone who has completed story up to 8.3 (not 100% on act 6,7,8) I was wondering what to tackle next. I want to start tackling Everest content as soon as possible so I was hoping for some recommendations on how to get there. Is there anything I should do first to prepare for the content, (like carina challenges as I haven’t done any or 100% story) or any specific champions I should aim to rank up.     Explore 8.3 and 8.4 then explore act 9, then you can consider doing something like the ordeal.

    Thank you, I’ve been curious on the best way to reach the Everest content. Is there anything champions I should focus on levelling up and who should I look to rank 3 as a 7* to reach valiant.

    Think of Everest content on the most literal since; it is the highest peak of the mountain. If you've still got climbing to do (story content), then it's not yet time to take on the highest peak. It's content built for players with nowhere left to climb.

    You should first focus on getting valiant so you can have better rewards from daily super event

    7* red skull and bastion looks to be the best candidates to rank 3

    This, though as you continue to do story content, you'll get more 7* so that will change. But if you get r3 them right now to get valiant, then do that.

    Thank you everyone. I will probably focus on r3 bastion as I love playing with him. Then I’ll see if I get anyone better in the meantime. Again thanks for allowing your help guys much appreciated!

    Definitely finish story content first. I’d do one run of every story quest that you can and then start exploring whatever the hardest story quest you can do is. (As a side note, the shooting stars (or whatever the 7* small content in the special quest tab is) is worth doing whenever you have enough 7*s. It’s easy and gives 7* shards). Truthfully, the everest content I would aim for once you finish story is a completion run of necropolis using the 7* chosen challengers Carina’s challenge. It’ll let you double up on necropolis completion rewards and the Carina’s challenge rewards. After that, a completion run of epoch of pain would be great if you have the 7*s to do it. If you can’t do that, I’d finish off the necropolis Carina’s challenges. The only Carina’s challenges that are worth it at this point are the necropolis ones and the ccp ones.

    This is all pretty far down the road though cause I’d crank out as much story content as possible before jumping into much harder Everest content. (Shooting stars is worth it though).

    Thank you for the advice, I’m currently working through exploration of act 8 and then I’ll work on act 9. Regarding captain marvel I have maxed her on rank 1 now!

    Disagree that Everest content is necessarily the thing to do last.

    Remember - old Endgame content was done with 4*, 5* and 6* champions.

    You could realistically look at Shooting Stars, Eternity of Pain and the Crucible; if you want a change of pace from ordinary questing.

    Rewards are scaled to newest content.
    Do the newest content as those are relevant rewards.

    Harder everest older content may have lesser rewards.
