Relic shards and crystals

Hi. With the launching of new statcast relics in a few days is it safe to open all the crystals of the old relics? I mean, i can’t use the shards in any other way right? There’s no reason to hoard them i guess?

    Yes you should open them unless you want to save them for embers.

    New relics will take the same embers to level up. If you open all of them right now you might end up with a pile of expiring embers soon

    Id wait a few weeks. Kabam likes to wait on letting us open new crystals like statcasts until later in the middle of the month

    The livestream also mentioned opening relic crystals would contribute points to an upcoming event- me but have been a realm event?
