Idk if I'm going insane or something but I swear the AI is throwing specials just before the stun timer expires. Just came back to the game a few weeks ago so idk if this is was already pointed out.

    I'm sure its the same thing where when AI turtles while passively gaining power, and somehow throws the SP3 while the bar is still yellow.
