I feel like the Eidols were suppose to be the next deathless chases but kabam missed hugely for multiple reasons
1) the deathless pieces were given out for completing hard content. A lot of the pieces were given out the same way as now (finish BGs, war showcase) but a lot of the deathless pieces were given through the seasonal pain quests. Those were super fun to do (except that abs man) and people felt a sense of accomplishment beating them. Now the pieces are locked away behind like top war placement, top arena placement, and stuff like that which isn't accessible to 99.9% of the playerbase.
2) this one is a two parter: the deathless champ chase was fun because we knew we'd get a bonus champ at the end, thanos. And we know these heroes. The Eidol chase is not the same because I don't think anyone has the same emotional connection to any of these, frankly, weird as hell looking kabam creations. I couldn't care less if I got solvarch / Megatron, or isophene or whoever the next jaborni will be. Whereas she hulk, king Groot, vision and Thanos are awesome marvel characters people actually want, and Thanos has a long rich marvel history and has a lot of fans prior to being a deathless chase champ.
3) there are way too many pieces required for these Eidols that the majoring just can't collect, and probably can't even name where to get them. It loses its appeal when it's so difficult to get a champ that people just don't care and don't chase.
I'm honestly looking forward more to the rerelease of deathless pieces than I am for any of these new Eidol weirdos.

Kabam 2025: People seemed to really enjoy that chase. What if we still make them chase, but also make them spend money on the chase? Brilliant!
Basically, I'm just ignoring the Eidols. To much squeezing these days.
A paywall chase of unknow character isn't indeed.
....
Only issue is making paywall rarity out of thin air. Looking at you tigra and old champs, red guardian too.
You have Vincent working in the dialogues and are pretty good but let's be honest,98% of the players don't read the dialogues and i hate how is just said and not show
Solvarch for example is mentioned by Scarlet Witch the half of her were frozen with faces of despair and the other half was burning in pain IN A DESTROYED KRAKOA , dude just made Genosha 2.0 and we just have dialogues,at the final battle it's said he one shot everyone with a blast of his core after Absorbing the energy of the battlerealm to a point the sky became a void
Guilly 2099 release EQ for example had a cutscene between her and modern guilly having a dinner and the swords taunting each other, last scene is just ther home with some damage taken floating ina asteroid
People keep saying he looks like Megatron,i would love him to have megatron voice in his dialogues because he screams a lot
Guilly family,Ægon,Galan, The Symbiotes, corrupted variations, Battle world factions
this is basicly a deeper rant version of your second point,It's so frustrating how much potential there is in the battlerealm but it's stuck in a mobile game with a company that themselfs don't realy know what to do
I think the Deathless saga is the best thing this game has ever done. But then the Eidols require spending money, they’re Kabam originals (lowers a lot of people’s interest), the communication was patchy (it’s gotten a lot better), and there’s no promised payoff (Thanos).
To be clear, I spent money and got 7* Lumatrix - he’s now my absolute favorite champ in the entire game, took him to R4 and used a skill AG on him even though his sig isn’t that useful. He’s amazing, I use him everywhere. All that, and I still am not a huge fan of the Eidols and definitely not how they’ve been implemented.
I would have been happy if they just basically repeated the deathless chase with Eidol pieces/essence to get the champs. There have been so many sales this year, so many 7* releases paywalled… it just compounds the issue. I spent to get Solvarch because of how much I love Lumatrix, and I’m ready with 12 essence, but if he doesn’t impress (and I’m not sure about him from what we’ve seen) then I may not get the final Eidol.
BUT on the flip side, at least I have absolutely no desire to spend money on any of them. It's not like it's Mystique or Blink or Lizard or Polaris or Robbie Reyes or Cloak and Daggar or...
What I don't particularly like, though, is that half of the pieces are placed in content that a lot of the rest of us do complete. I find it somewhat annoying to earn half a champion every three months or so. In some cases, it also feels as if they take the place of other more meaningful rewards, such as in Raids. When you beat the final boss in Normal Raids, you get the choice of either picking up an Eidol piece or go for a lesser rewards, which feels like a pretty crappy choice when you know that that Eidol piece won't get you anywhere anyway. You just end up with 7/12 pieces instead of 6/12.
I would have prefered if they moved the chase entirely away from me instead of teasing me every time a new Eidol champ is about to be released. Even if I don't have a problem with the Eidols themselves, the release structure is just kind of annoying if you don't earn enough of the pieces to trade them in in the end. Especially since the idea (from what I understand) seems to be to simply release them into the basic pool at some time in the future, rather than for the rest of us to be able to earn additional pieces to unlock them.
Basically, no matter what the intention is, the way to acquire them feels a lot like the Deathless hunt, which was arguably the best thing about last year's Contest. I think the Eidols' inclusion this year would have met less resistance if the f2p half of earning them wasn't so similar to how you earned the Deathless champions.
????
He is a donut bar?
Cause he is a robot he has no hole in the middle.
I agree they could have give him charges per punch instead of just being hit by energy, motivate agressive to keep the damage and let us reset his effects when you re gain them
and they likely will add armor penetration in the future based on his crit damage rating
