Who designed this!!?

PulliPulli Member Posts: 131
I know basically everybody wants to go back to the second month of valiant event quest, and for good reason.

I just wanted to make this post to bring some extra attention to it. (And for those who have yet to complete it).

Who designed this!!?

Magneto is a cheat hack for many techs in the game and is fairly strong on defense when you are using a #metal champion on attack.

Who gave the green light to only give access to Tech characters against this Magneto??

That coupled with the "Polka Dot Power" node really takes away the champions that you can use effectively in this quest to take on these Magnetos.

I don't know who people ended up using, but besides Lady Deathstrike and Shocker with the Stark Enhanced Spidey synergy, there aren't many other effective counters that come to mind.

If anyone knows of others. Please comment them for other people who haven't done the third quest for this month's Valiant event quest.

    Shuri?

Yes. Good one. But Mag's Shock Resistance makes this a marathon if you don't have a 7* R3 or higher

For first one I use bullseye , for second and third I use Ironheart and lady deathstrike
For first mag fight you can use both skill and tech champ

It's not great, but it's not the most restrictive fight, either.

Shuri, Ironheart, Lady Deathstrike, Yondu, Arcade, Ultron, Mysterio, Omega Sentinel, and Arnim Zola all have access to DoT debuffs on basic attacks, and are either not #Metal or are immune to AAR. Also Guardian, who isn't immune to AAR, but who will inflict a permanent Shock debuff, enabling endless Power Gain without having to land a punch.

Wait how does he (Guardian) do that? That sounds great

    1st magneto - ultron (degen)
    2nd magneto - shuri (shock)
3rd magneto - shocker synergy with starky, shocker gain shock and shocker not metal

Inflicts a shock if his ability accuracy is affected by another champ. Does it against domino too.

“While all of Guardian’s Abilities are below 100% Ability Accuracy for 3+ second(s), he inflicts a Shock Debuff, dealing 1,495.95 Energy Damage per second until restored. This ability scales with Base Attack only and cannot be affected by Ability Accuracy. Max 1 stack.”

This is the (not so-)new Kabam design for monthly quests. Pathways are designed with a specific class to get a buff …. And then the boss is a class that has class advantage over those champs. They’ve been doing this for about a year and just seems cheap.

If you make the right pick, there's almost always an option that makes these trivial, either by nuke or extreme safety. No need for all peak 7 stars.

I swear I have no hands in designing this.

Man if only there was tech champion who was immune to Ability Accuracy Reduction and had a way of inflicting DOT effects without the need for special attacks. That sure does sound like a magnificent champion! (If you haven't caught on yet, it's me  )

so, Shuri? already been mentioned… o)

    1st Arcade
    2nd Shuri
3rd I just threw 3 techs and dog pile him. Who cares about a solo on a silly node anyway

Used shuri and Jack if i can remember correctly.
But yes kind of annoying,..but this is what Kabam likes to do ie (subtract the fun engaging and somewhat challenging ideas with annoying ones).
They miss the mark almost every time imo.
